The adventures of Aeneas Faversham are written and performed by The Penny Dreadfuls, are the three gentlemen performers Humphrey Ker, David Reed and Thom Tuck.
Presenting the brand new show for 2008, Aeneas Faversham Forever!
Taking their cue from 19th century gothic horror tales, Victorian pulp fiction, and the Victorian obsession with the occult, the Dreadfuls have penned a riproaring hour long play, a theatrical "comedy masterpiece" (- Three Weeks: Brighton) with Dickensian characters and a story of revenge, suspicion and murder across the underworld of Victorian London - "a villainous piece of derring-do" (- The Stage). Featuring stunning lighting from award-winning designer Neil Hobbs and beautiful shadow puppetry from acclaimed Edinburgh puppeteer and award-winning director Jeremy Bidgood.
The show has already been touring in development around the country, receiving excellent four and five star reviews and has just been named "Best Comedy Show" at the Brighton Festival Awards (May 2008), while the Dreadfuls are also working on their second BBC radio series to be recorded in mid-July. But nothing beats their phenomenal live performances. Book now!

The Penny Dreadfuls previous shows, Aeneas Faversham & Aeneas Faversham Returns performed to rave reviews at the 2006 & 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and happily ricocheted with sell-out performances in London and the a smattering of her colonies.
Follow dashing gentleman explorer, sword-for-hire and noted wit Aeneas Faversham as he guides you on a tour of the trials and tribulations of his beloved dark and twisted Victorian world. A show of sketches, occurrences and curious happenstance of graverobbing, exploration and the protection of the British Empire.
The debut four part radio series The Brothers Faversham was aired weekly at 11.30pm from Friday 11th January on BBC7. More info here! It will be repeated in September in the run up to the broadcast of the second series in October.

This is a fantastic, full-length show, with an hour of great material from us, plus incredible special guests - and we're only performing it TWICE MORE in this version! (The last one will be on Wednesday 14th May).
I'm in Los Angeles, the Hollywood area. I would love to see you live one day, if I can. I tried to catch you when I was in London in July, but sadly missed you by a day, although my friend was able to make it. So you've got at least two fans here. ;) It's a start, right?
Best of luck with the writing and other endeavors. I hope to hear more from you very soon.
Loved the last episode. Must say that was possibly my favourite one out of all of them. Cannot wait til Wednesday to see you live for the first time :D
Thanks so much for adding me! I've been catching your radio program on Listen Again, and I'm thrilled to find you every bit as brilliant as my friends in the UK have been telling me!
Have really enjoyed the 3rd episode and feeling quite sad it finishes next week :( I do have a ticket for the 6th though so i shall be seeing you in the flesh soon. I can't wait :D
Thanks awfully for the add chaps. Looking forward to welcoming you to Leicester Ark Theatre on Saturday 16th February. Sure to be an awe inspiring night. Just in case you're wondering, you can buy tickets online for the show by clicking right here.

Dear Chuckle Chums Thank you from within the inner depths of my blackened and despairing heart for your kind offer of friendship. I look forward to many a cold winter's night of madcap mayhem and misadventures where we frolic naked and joyful in the expression of our budding and beautiful friendship.
One night my friend took me to see you in a little pub in Little Venice in London. I laughed so hard that everyone looked at me funny and my friend threatened never to take me out again. It was worth it! Congrats on coming up with a surreal brand of ingenious humor. xxx
I say good day to you fine Sirs. Thanking you must gratefully for the offering of friendship. ;)
Very much enjoyed your show the other evening - laughed until it hurt a little. Now telling friends to go see your show or I'll hurt them a little. Tee hee - Enjoy the rest of the Edinburgh run. Ax

Saw you at Edinburgh a few days ago, you were brilliant. Please put more videos up of your stuff so I can convert all my friends into Penny Dreadful fans too.
I feel moved, deeply moved, by Sunday's "Soho" review bar show! Thank you for two specific things - firstly, the most inspired tickets ever (who's idea was it to stamp each with a wax seal? Must have taken days!) and secondly, your lovely frock coats. Sartorial elegance does not go unnoticed by one such as myself. Wonderful, as always, you are. Huzzah!
