Murray Lachlan Young is a British performance poet whose humorous work enjoyed a spectacular vogue during the mid-1990s. He was the first poet to be given a £1 million record deal, when he signed to EMI amid a blaze of publicity in 1996. He released an album, Vice And Verse.
Hélélé play an exciting combination of African polyrhythmic dance
grooves and spontaneous jazz improvisation. The band features
Cameroonian composer Alphonse Daudet Touna whose rich balafon melodies
create a unique style of afro jazz.
The Malarchy Band rip up the wedding band rulebook, bringing Klezmer, Romani Gypsy, and improvisational style to a never-ending celebration. This passionate world quintet tear through the musical traditions of Europe as if it were the last night on Earth.
Afro-Caribbean-fusion-Groove: the driving tempos of African percussion and a heavyweight horn section come together to create an uplifting dancefloor sound.
Sometimes known as the "Somerset Party Massive" GRINGO SKA have been rocking the West and beyond since 1997, when the five of them drifted together from various roots, punk, jazz and funky dance, bands, and homed in on those good Ska vibrations.
Comic Poet Byron Vincent is a regular at many of the UK’s most prestigious music and literary events including, Cheltenham festival of literature, Oxford literature festival, Glastonbury festival of performing arts and Latitude festival.
Rae utilises many musical genres: Indian, jazz, classical, funk and folk-rock.
With a strong following in the South West, the band has performed at many festivals around the country. Rae supported Billy Bragg in 2008.
Stand-up poet and slam winner Jude Simpson combines insightful observational comedy with witty wordplay, poetry, rap and song to create a unique act which leaves audiences smiling, laughing and occasionally hungry. “Hilarious” - Guardian. “A joy. Her lines sparkle with wit and panache“ - Scotsman.
Award winning stand-up poet Nathan Filer has been described as blurring the edges of poetry, comedy and theatre. He maintains that these edges were never all that defined in the first place, unlike say: competetive swimming and badger baiting. Of which he condones neither."
The poet Tim Clare has appeared on Radio 1 and 2, written for the Guardian and The Times, and presented the Channel 4 series How To Get A Book Deal. His memoir is about giving up your dreams is called We Can't All Be Astronauts.
A.F. Harrold is a performance poet and odd chap who does things with words on stages and radio stations around the country. He was 2008’s poet-in-residence at Glastonbury Festival.’

Small but perfectly formed we created a new genre to fit in with the ever expanding festival scene in the UK. We are a 'Shoestring Boutique festival' offering a huge amount for our budget and passing the savings on to you with 3 jampacked days across the August bank holiday weekend.
Now in its 4th year Aeon Festival will be taking place over 3 days at Shobrooke Park Estate, Crediton Devon on the 28th-30th August 2009.
The theme for this year is The Sci-Fi Adventures so get planning you dressing up box for the weekend!
Its all about wicked live music and DJs, fantastic film, poetry and comedy as well as plenty to do for children and families. There are all sorts of art workshops, forest school, new parents and toddlers chill space, healing things, buskers corner to raise money for our chosen charity, gorgeous food and market stalls as well as 4 stages, a cinema tent and well stocked bar selling fine local beverages.
Nominated for 5 UK festival awards in 2008 this small festival has stuck to its roots by providing a wicked weekend at an affordable price.

Tickets for Aeon Festival 2009 are now on sale.
Priced at just £45 per person they include camping for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. This is still just £15 per day the same as 2008!
Under 12s free as before.
If you wish to arrive on the Thursday to camp you will need to buy a Thursday car pass for £5 (per car not per person) The campsite will be open on the Thursday between 5pm and 11pm.
Tickets are available from a number of shops now as well as online.
Weekend and day tickets will also be available on the gate but at a higher price. The festival has sold out the past 2 years so we recommend you buy in advance - This also helps us guarantee the event can continue!
The gates on the main site will be open from 9am on Friday 28th August.
Price includes camper vans and caravans as well although these will be parked in a different area. We have already been granted permission to have the camping on the main parkland this time - Campervans will be over the road as before.
Under 12s must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult/parent. Under 16s must have purchased a ticket and be accompanied by an adult over 18 in their group. We cannot allow large groups of under 16s on site without suitable adult supervision.
The festival area is a short walk from the main campsite. The ground is fairly level but we can help arrange better access and parking for disabled festival goers if arranged in advance.
The Shelleys very kindly let people bring their dogs to the festival. This is one of the things that makes it so special and chilled out. Please pick up your dogs poo though! And don't bring them if theyre not used to this kind of thing as it can be stressfull for them with the loud music.
