..A&L started making music in late 2002, having met over a Danny Tenaglia bootleg before one of Ian's gigs ..(we promise it wasn't ever sold or recorded Danny, only performed!)... A&L or "The AeonLine" refers to the artist handles ..Ian (Aeon).. and Mishi (Line) were going under at the time. It was simple, catchy, and it stuck. The fact it also implies a way of thinking is a, in effect, a double meaning. We're huge fans of that sort of thing. .. ..aeon.. ..n 1: (Gnosticism) a divine power or nature emanating from the Supreme Being and playing various roles in the operation of the universe 2: the longest division of geological time ..syn: eon.. 3: an immeasurably long period of time ..syn: eon.... ....line.... ..n... 1: The path traced by moving a point 2: A real or imaginary mark positioned in relation to fixed points of reference. 3: Ancestry or lineage... .. ..Our work is a massive fusion of styles and experimentation. Our approach is unique and always re-inventing itself. Our goal is simple: to create involving and addictive sounds that explore the entire spectrum of human emotion. ..A&L Music is not about one sound, it's about the joy of sound. Every composition is different and should be alive with its own energy. Seemingly random elements from organic sampling, digital synthesis, and our contributing musicians/vocalists erupt from the darkness of pre-creation... gigabytes and countless gigabytes of noise fill our workstations. This wild cacaphony - wav, mp3, aiff, ogg - when played in the right order become a melody. ..Melody becomes grace. ..And grace, our dearest listeners, transforms us all into something magical. We are elevated beyond the dust, the noise, the chaos, the electric lights and the city streets. For just a moment, perhaps, we are truly alive. This is the gift of music.
