Jan 12 2008 11:50 PM

hi guys!!!!

Thanx for the add!!!

Im a 16 year old from the east coast of Australia. Im thinking of becoming a Sound Engineer or Producer etc.

I play Drums and Guitar, I also run school productions (theater and music productions (lighting and audio)) I have been apart of recording of 1 album and 1 DVD (purely for the love of it and work experience)

When I leave school (after year 12) I intend to go to SAE (owned by Tom Misner) And study for a Degree in Recording Arts.

Basically Im trying to get out and around to Studios and live productions to see how it all works, how the bussiness side of it operates, and what equipment they use, as well as how they use it.

Thanx again for the add,

see ya!!!

Give us a shout if you dig it.

THE CURRENT BEST OF 2007!!!!

Two, not only one write up on us this year!!!!

1st one:

Best Live Music Event

1. SA Indie Fest
Multiple locations, March 7-13, Saindie.com
2. Jazz'SAlive
Travis Park, September 15-16,
Saparksfoundation.org/jazzalive.html
3. Bob Marley Festival

Tired of seeing San Antonio languish in the long shadow of SXSW, Delphine Gunning and Robin Lambaria created SA Indie Fest. The week-long celebration of underground music gave San Antonians a chance to see 150 up-and-coming artists without breaking the bank on a SXSW wristband.

2nd one (which happens to be in the front page!!!):

Saustex Media impresario and local punk legend Jeff Smith recently made the valid point that for all the sadness accompanying the 2005 murder of Taco Land owner Ram Ayala, the tragic loss spurred the music community to develop.
The brutal circumstances surrounding Ayala's death merely drove home the point that the local music scene could never go back, could never again have the kind of nurturing environment that Taco Land provided. The only recourse was for musicians to fend for themselves, and as Smith argues, to work a bit harder to connect.

In SA's second post-Taco-Land year, we saw evidence of such resourcefulness in a variety of places. Delphine Gunning, owner of singer-songwriter haven the Red Room, moved her establishment to North Broadway's Taco Garage, and proceeded to create a San Antonio answer to SXSW with the seven-day SA Indie Fest. The event brought 150 under-the-radar performers to three locations and provided echoes of SXSW circa 1987, before it became a cold, efficient, tourist-attracting, money-making machine.

I could not be happier!!!!!

A year of hard work does pay off!!!

Keep strong, no matter what, never never never give up your dream!! Change can be made!!!

Thank you for everyone's support!!!

With all my love,

Delphine
