Since 2005 guitar player David Weicht, drummer Fabian Fahrig and bass player Sascha Jörres were travelling continuousily in their spaceship until they collided with a meteor and were forced to land on planet Earth. Together they’ve built up a cosmodrome for the repairing of their spaceship and to gain information about the life on Earth.
After a while they repaired their spacecraft in lightspeed and were ready to set off from planet Earth. After rocketing to an altitude between sky and space they felt miserable to leave the planet without a message, so they’ve decided to travel between earth and space to share their feelings and knowledge in form of music, to make it more understandable for the human beings.
In 2009 they went to their cosmodrome with sound wizard Beray Habip (The Bonny Situation) and created their first manifest, called „Eartheption EP“, a sound document of a subject that fell on planet Earth. From then the course of the group is determined to translate the language of space and to keep the balance between progressiv and straight.

Achtung! Shuttle Servive Zwischen 19h30 und 20h habt ihr die Möglichkeit mit dem Steinbruch-Bus vom Osteingang des Duisburger Hauptbahnhofs (vor der Sparda Bank) kostenlos zum Steinbruch gebracht zu werden. 45 Minuten nach Konzertende fährt euch der Bus wieder zurück.
Die große „THALAMUS-WIRD-GEVIERTELT“- Woche! Ganz genau! Nächste Woche steht bei uns das Euro Rock (http://www.euro-rock.de/cm/index.php) auf dem Programm. Das bedeutet, dass wir mit drei anderen Bands aus Litauen („Make It Real Project“), Russland („Play“) und England („The Saffrons“) eine Woche zusammen wohnen und Musik machen. Dabei werden die Bands gemischt, so dass jeder mit 3 Leuten aus 3 unterschiedlichen Nationen zusammen neue Lieder komponiert. Diese neuentstandenen Songs plus ein paar Songs jeder Band in ihrer „gewöhnlichen“ Aufstellung werden dann jeden Abend LIVE präsentiert. Und jetzt kommt der Knaller: Der Eintritt ist bei allen Konzerten FREI! Wir sind natürlich auch extremststst gespannt, was bei der Mischung der Bands an musikalischen Ergüssen herausfließen wird. Nebenbei haben wir uns überlegt, mit Thalamus jeden Abend ein kleines, aber absolut unterschiedliches Set zu spielen. Steinbruch wird ein ruhiger, atmosphärischer Gig mit ein paar alten Songs, im Parkhaus wird dann eine mittlere Schiene gefahren und im Hundertmeister gibt’s dann nur noch auf die Zwölf. Auf dem OLGAS Rock Festival in Oberhausen (www.olgas-rock.de) spielen wir dann zum Abschluss der Runde in heimlichen Gefilden ein volles Set, bevor es für uns dann weiter nach England in die „Wedgewood Rooms“ geht.
