Solo Works/Acoustic
Aerynn has been composing original music for many years. In 2008, she left her band to pursue a solo career, although she is often joined by violinist Jasmine Miranda Crowe. Listen to Returning (the airplane song) featuring Mandy Rebel on piano for a sample of Aerynn's songwriting. This mix was cut June 2006, while Mandy was visiting the Big Island. Cramming home-studio time in between beach runs and snorkeling trips, it is far from perfect, but full of passion. Look for a remix with re-cut vocals soon. Aerynn really wanted to feature Mandy's impressive improv skills on the piano, and the extra minutes are worth it. Mandy and Aerynn have been friends since age 2, when their parents played music together in a rock band.
Aerynn is currently in pre-production for her first solo album.

I got back to Los Angeles the earlier this week after putting 4000 miles on my jeep driving around the southwest. I woke up in the morning to find that my new album had finally become available on Amazon.com. While some of these songs were written as much as 4 years ago, some in hawaii right after cambodia, mexico, california since then, they still capture who I am and how I feel, the fluctuation between my failures and my ideals, growth and the serene moments I live for and between the desire to be a Buddhist monk in the mountains and the importance of being engaged in the world. that song i played is called "swing life away" by a band called rise against! it is definitely the best song i have heard in a long time. i just love the lyrics so much! the music video for that song is great as well. you can find that on you tube. i recommend it! ..thanks for giving your insight on how that song sounds like some irish folk stuff. irish music is great! i actually just enjoyed the flogging molly concert on saturday! what a great time that was! the music really brings such an amazing, positive ambiance into the club!
