Tom “the fegman” Fegent: Tom was raised by wolves in the Australian outback. You may find this hard to believe as wolves are not native to the Australian landscape but his hippy parents being huge Rudyard Kipling fans specially imported them after finding the trials of parenthood hard to bear. Hey it worked out OK for Mogley. This unique upbringing led to the development of Tom’s howl-like musical vocal stylings and tendency to lift his leg and mark his territory on all new people he meets. Just a warning to those who may cross his path. A hermit who lived in a humpy not far from his pack is the father of Tom outstanding gift with the guitar and his gourmet ability to create a nutritious and delicious meal out nothing except dung beetles and grass.
Davey J Carr: Davey J, the pacemaker, needs no introduction. He oozes cool and charm without effort. If you can try to brush against him. Like osmosis it seems to elevate the general status and greatness of those around him. That’s why Tom likes him so much. Lets face it he needs all the help he can get. But I digress. A man of few words, he lets his overwhelming musical talent speak for him. Davey is a rock star... even when playing a pink three quarter guitar.
Lizzy ’the gun’ Graham: Lizzy, who was once described as a ’free spirit wandering hobo’, has a set pair of underwear for every day of the week. Prone to fits of giggles at the symphony, she takes all music just as seriously. As an interesting side note, she is also an exceptional interpretive dancer and founding member of Epping Pub‘s internationally acclaimed dance troupe DESB. In actual fact, Lizzy is just killing time until her real musical career starts. The greatest talent that the world has ever seen has been laying low in the little known hub of activity known as Denistone station for the past 24 years. If only the train would stop there and let her on. If only… For more gigs write city rail now.
Marnie ‘the fun’ Whitehurst: Marnie likes asparagus. It is a highly under rated vegetable in her opinion and fantastic with balsamic vinegar and some prosciutto. She recommends consuming said meal with a spork. Another highly under-rated implement. Marnie really has no musical gift at all. Her harmonic stylings are the result of the small fairy that lives in her throat. She tried to eat it as a child and it got stuck. Over the years they have developed an understanding with Marnie selflessly letting her guest share the gift of song while she takes all the credit.
Combined we are Aethenoth.
An awesome foursome of intergalactic greatness, we serve up music with an acoustic folk flavour. Lizzy, lead singer, is a seasoned musician with a list previous bands and melodic collaborations behind her. She is currently studying opera with aspirations of taking the world by storm. Tom and Davey graced the stage as members of Fergus Recliner, previous winners of the NSW university band competition in 2003. Davey is also a member of a gypsy folk band called Lolo Lovina. Marnie has great hair.
Come see us play or we will hunt you down. We’ll get you and your little dog too. Did I mention we are pacifists?
