    Afekth is the four-piece band from Poland. The band was created by Maikh in early 2008. In that time the band went through some experiments and changes, then started serious music activity in 2009, when the first EP "The First Two Names" was released and first show took a place. Just straight after, the band took part in gigs with many famous bands from Poland and played their first most important act at before party of Knockout Festival, where bands like Meshuggah, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Cynic were playing also. Since then the band appeared on many famous Polish music sites like for example Interia.pl, got some good reviews about debut EP, was mentioned as an artist of the day on Muzzo.pl and played next series of successful gigs. In 2011 the band played first show abroad (OBOA Festival in Germany) and will be playing at this year's edition of Euroblast Festival, which will take place in Köln, Germany. Afekth is also preparing material for their debut album, which they plan to release soon. Afekth to czteroosobowy skład z Polski grający nu-progressive. Kapela została założona przez Maikha na początku roku 2008. W tamtym czasie Afekth przeszedł trochę eksperymentów oraz zmian i swoją konkretną muzyczną działalność zaczął w 2009 roku, kiedy wyszła pierwsza EPka "The First Two Names" i zespół zagrał pierwszy koncert. Zaraz później zespół wziął udział w wielu występach ze znanymi polskimi zespołami i pojawił się na before party dużego festiwalu Knockout Festival, gdzie zagrali znani artyści jak Meshuggah, The Dillinger Escape Plan oraz Cynic. Od tego momentu zespół pojawił się na wielu znanych muzycznych portalach jak dla przykładu Interia.pl. Zyskał również dużo pozytywnych recenzji na temat debiutanckiej EPki, został ogłoszony artystą dnia na Muzzo.pl oraz zagrał kolejną serię dobrych koncertów. W roku 2011 zespół zagrał pierwszy koncert za granicą (OBOA Festival w Niemczech) i zagra na tegorocznej edycji festiwalu Euroblast w Köln, Niemcy. Afekth również przygotowuje materiał na ich debiutancki album, który wkrótce powinien ujrzeć światło dzienne.
