Ryan Lystad and Allen Pingleton played as a two piece band with Ryan on the vocal and guitar duties and Allen ..boards, background vocals, and electronic percussion for several years. They recorded two albums with this lineup, 1998's "Loathe" and 2000's "A Gift of Disorder". Previously drummerless, Affliction had relied on electronic rhythyms as a foundation for its songs. It remained so until, April of 2000, when Adam Mercer became the newest member of the band, finally adding a live drummer. With Adam, new doors opened for Affliction as Adam breathed new life and energy into the band. Adam seems to have been the missing piece of the puzzle and Affliction are now a solid force on stage and in the studio. The band released their appropriately titled third album, "III", in late 2004 and looks with great anticipation to all the future holds. They continue to play in Texas often, but are always looking for new places to play. They live for and love their music. The Affliction is coming and there is no cure.

Well, it happened again. Gunther the Underwire is no longer alone (I couldn't find the umlee to do that correctly). I was at a bar the other night telling a buddy about the infamous Underwire Destruction of way back when, when, true story, the underwire came out from underneath my left breast. I can't even begin to explain how bizarre that was! So, I saved the underwire and will have to give it to ya'll to use on your next album cover! HAHA! Seriously- how crazy is that?!
