Affordable Fun Sound & Light is the Tri-States Premier source for entertainment, and the Wedding Reception Specialists. We've performed at over 1000 events for crowds up to 14,000. We work closely with the photographer and videographer you choose to ensure that they stay informed and every memorable aspect of your reception is captured properly and professionally.
We co-ordinate the reception for you so that when you arrive, you can relax and celebrate the first few hours of your marriage with your guests. It's just that simple. We believe that our clients are too important to worry about the little details that arise during the reception, so we take care of them for you. You will see us getting drinks for the bridal party during dinner, cleaning spills on the dance floor, blessing the meal, and doing a lot of other duties that you wouldn't expect a DJ to do. It's that level of service our clients have come to know us by.
We professionally announce everything so there is no guessing what's next, and your guests know exactly what is happening before it happens! I can't tell you how many receptions and functions I have been to where the DJ didn't announce anything and seemed almost afriad of the microphone! I started my DJ career as an on-air radio personality in Lufkin, Texas, with the KFOX 95 Morning Zoo. I have performed for crowds of up to 14,000 based on my mic skills alone! Let's face it, you either were born with a great voice and fun personality, or you weren't! There's no faking this! It doesn't really matter what type of equipment you use or how many CDs you have if you don't have the basic skills neccesary to perform.
We also interact with the crowd to keep things flowing and the guests happy... and there! When you are paying well over $100 per head for your friends and family to be there, it's important to us that we keep them entertained and anxious to see what will happen next. We do this by setting up interactive dances, professionally announcing all activities, and by providing a fun and friendly atmosphere.

We want your wedding reception to be the "Party of the Year", so we mix the music accordingly. We start with a universal mix that will get guests of any age up and dancing! Songs like "Twist and Shout", "Celebration", and "Love Shack" get the crowd moving, and we then let the party dictate what it will be from there.
Just because a song worked for the crowd the week before doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you, so we like to let the party evolve into what reflects your lifestyle and personality. Later in the evening, when the party really gets going, we go into a non-stop dance mix that will keep them on their feet! We like to beat mix our music (see video under "Television" for example) so that it has a seamless blend between songs. This is a technique that professional Club DJs use to keep the crowds on the dance floor and dancing! I have been the house DJ in several of the areas top clubs, and I know how to keep the dance floor packed!
We use family friendly (clean versions) of our music, the same mixes you hear on "Open House Party", mixed on the spot! I use only PROFESSIONAL DJ equipment. These are my tools and I like to use the best! Pioneer Pro CD players, Carven Amps, and Yamaha Club Series speakers. I do use MP3s, but I don't use a laptop to mix my music. I have a degree in electronics, and I work on computers on a regular basis... but I don't trust them! I like to have complete control over my music. I recently went to a local club that had a DJ sitting at a table in the corner in front of a laptop "mixing" music. He had NO control over the music, did NO beat mixing, and to tell you the truth he looked like a college kid doing his term paper! Not really my idea of a GOOD TIME!
