Janan Karim was born in Heilbronn a./N., Germany. She is painting since her childhood. Because of her affinity and solidarity to the land of Afghanistan, of its people and culture, she choose her artist name Janan Karim.
2006 she started in a studio in Bonn, Germany, to attend her self more and more painting. Due to her engagement for Afghanistan, she go in and into with the themes colours which are used in Middle Asia, the play of colours and mystic, in colours transferred music, Afghanistans National Colours and their meaning to Afghanistan.
2007 in March President Hamid Karzei visited Ruhr Univeristy of Bochum, Germany, and got as a gift from the Ruhr Univerity Bochum a painting from Janan Karim called “Ariana Map”.
Short time later a heating tube bearst in her studio, which must have been evacuted, the artist got ill and now since beginning autumn 2008 she is able to work again.

About me: Worüber sich jeder wundern wird, der das erfährt, ich war noch nie in Afghanistan, obwohl dies einer meiner größten Wünsche seit Kindheitstagen ist.
Der Grund dafür ist, dass ich im April 2004 für ein Hilfsprojekt einem Afghanischen Clanführer Geld anvertraut habe, er hat es unterschlagen.
Zuerst hatte ich monatelang versucht diese Geschichte auf Afghanischen Weg über die Familie zu regeln, aber es funktionierte nicht.
Afghanen baten mich damit vor Gericht zu gehen, damit ich zu meinem Recht komme und vor allem, dass diese Geschichte nicht auf sie zurück fällt.
****Nun konnte ich während dieser Zeit auf keinen Fall nach Afghanistan. Afghanen haben mir davon abgeraten.****
Ich habe den Gerichtsprozess gewonnen. Das Geld ist bis heute noch nicht zurück bezahlt und es ist mir immer noch nicht möglich nach Afghanistan zu reisen, weil mir nach wie vor abgeraten wurde, da es für mich persönlich sowieso zu gefährlich ist. ****
Da ich das nicht als einen Hinderungsgrund betrachten wollte, habe ich nachgedacht und überlegt, wie ich alleine etwas tun kann, ohne Geld mit meiner Freizeit und meinem Einsatz, um meinem Herzensland entgegen zu kommen, zu helfen und nahe zu sein. Was ich nie für möglich gehalten habe, es geht und es ist viel möglich, noch viel mehr und darüber bin ich sehr glücklich.
Dieser unseelige Mensch klebt nun weiterhin an meiner Biografie, niemand aus seiner Familie hat es bis heute fertig gebracht diese Geschichte so souverän zu regeln, dass es eine Wende geben könnte, wie das normal bei Afghanen möglich ist.
Leider sind sie ein herausragend negatives Beispiel und ich bedauere, dass dieses Licht nun nach wie vor und überhaupt auf alle Afghanen fällt, nach wie vor.
Ich danke für die Unterstützung, die mir bislang für Afghanistan Peace Movement zu Teil wurde und ich freue mich auf alle, die mich in meinem Engagement noch unterstützen werden.

I am a German artist and the land of my heart is Afghanistan, also called Ariana. My vision is, that all Afghans in Afghanistan and all Afghans who live all over the world in exile built together an ARIANA PEACE MOVEMENT.
The idea came in the forum of the website Afghna-German-Online AGO www.afghan-german.de during a discussion about the region in Pakistan, which was seperated from Afghanistan by the Duran-line and normally had has given back to Afghanistan by contract 1984. At that time cold war was and the iron wall exists, USSR was stationed in the biggest part of Afghanistan and so this region still was a part of Pakistan till today.
It seems that some people wants to have a war between Pakistan and Afghanistan. I was very angry about such a wish and after some words, I proposed that Afghan people should built a peace movement and beg the world to gave that part back to Afghanistan.
For to spread this proposal, idea and vision I openend this site, with the wish
Spread out please this vision, make this vision to your own and be a part of "Ariana Peace Movement" and give this idea a chance.

Who I'd like to meet: Heute startet, den 23.09.2009 "Campaign 10 For A Better World" bei Afghanistan Peace Movement
Wenn Worte die Kraft haben Welten zu bewegen, dann bewegt ein Wunsch mit Sicherheit die Welt.
Die Zahl EINS steht für einen Anfang und die Zahl NULL für ein Ende. So sollte die EINS immer für Frieden stehen und die Zahl NULL für das Ende eines jeden Krieges oder Kampfes.
Ich bitte Sie alle, Sie alle auf der ganzen Welt die Stunde 10 am Morgen oder am Abend dafür zu nutzen, mit mir den Wunsch von Afghanistan Peace Movement zu ihrem Anliegen zu machen, mit den Worten:
"Wir wünschen AFGHANISTAN und der WELT, WOHLSTAND und FRIEDEN!"
Ergibt sich daraus, dass wir alle, Menschen auf der ganzen Welt, irgendwann, die Zahlen 1 und 0 oder 10 oder die Uhrzeit 10:00 damit verbinden, der Welt Frieden und Wohlstand zu wünschen, haben wir alle miteinander viel erreicht.
Finden sich weltweit Menschen, die ab und zu gemeinsam, wo immer sie sind , um 10:00h morgens oder 10:00h abends an Frieden und Wohlstand für die ganze Welt denken, dann umspannen unsere Gedanken den Erdball als ein positves Wunschgewebe zu jeder Zeit. So können wir uns alle auf dieser Welt gegenseitig Schutz bieten, uns Zusammengehörigkeit über alle Ethnien, Religionen und Nationen hinweg vermitteln, ohne uns zu kennen und niemand muss dafür einen Cent aufwenden, noch Umwege gehen oder Barrieren überwinden, denn Gedanken sind frei.
Wenn ab und zu Künstler in Ihr Programm um 10:00 h abends zwischen eine Darbietung eine halbe oder eine Minute für diesen Wunsch für Frieden und Wohlstand für Afghanistan und die Welt, verbunden mit dem Symbol, der Zahl 10, ermöglichen als Zwischenakt, ist es als geben Sie der Welt den 10ten und jedem einzelnen Menschen ein ganz persönliches Geschenk.
Afghanistan hat numerologisch die Zahl 10, vielmehr EINS. Und, ich denke, es liegt ein Sinn darin, dass dieses Land für Frieden stehen kann und beginnenden Wohlstand äusserlich, wie auch innerlich.

The number ONE stands for a beginning and the number ZERO for an end. So should the number 1 always stand for PEACE and the number O always for an END of every WAR or FIGHT.

Results out of this, that we all, people all over the world, some day, the numbers 1 and 0 or 10 or the time of day 10:00 join with, to wish the world Peace and prosperity, we all together will have reached a lot.
Find people one another worlwide, where ever they are, at 10:00h in the morning oder 10:00h in the evening, mind in to wish Peace and prosperity to the world, they convert the earth with thoughts as a positive netting of desires, at any time.
So we are able to spend one another protection, feeling of spirit beyond all etnic groups, religions and nations without knowing each other face to face. And no one must any money, nor must make a loop way or overwelth barriers, because minds are for free.
If some times artists spend a little time, one or a half minute, between their performance, to think with her audience of this wish for Peace and Prosperity to Afghanistan and the world and bound this act with the symbol, number 10, they give their tithe and every single person a really private gift.
Numerologically Afghanistan has the number 10, in fact ONE. And I think, it makes a sinn, that this country could stand for Peace and starting prosperity inside, like also outside.
