Sounds Like
A lonely train rattling through an empty town in the middle of a cold desert night...with a gypsy band on board.
A Fight to the Death is:
CJ Bargamian (guitar, vocals, knick knacks)
Colin Jaccino (bass)
Mark Carbone (percussion)
Nathan Green (keys, backing vocals)
George Wallace (pedal steel)
In terms of sound, the band mixes elements of sparse western scores, Americana, eastern-European gypsy music, and avant-garde rock.
CJ released his debut solo record (as Chris Bargamian & A Fight to the Death) titled ’American Literature’ in 2006, and the follow-up ’End of Continent Sadness’ in early 2007.
Now a full band with a consistent lineup, A Fight to the Death is hard at work on their forthcoming LP; a Summer 2008 release is planned.
here is the obligatory mention of previous bands of which AFTTD was/is a part: CJ played guitar for Atlanta post-indie-whatever band Crybaby, and before that he played guitar for a bit in Atlanta dark western band Myssouri. Colin and George also participate in Atlanta’s own Hot Grits a Flyin’. Mark played drums for Crybaby as well, and both he and Nathan were also members of No River City.
We need a trumpeter or violinist!!!
Eclectic instrumentation is a must, so let us know if you’d like to join us!
CJ...well I'll be damned is right. I've been doing great. Pittsburgh's a bit cold and miserable this time of year, but that gives me good things to write about. Elena P. lives up here. I've run into her a few times. Two kids from Shiloh High School meet again in Pittsburgh of all places!
How you been man? Music sounds fantastic! Very cool sound. I don't think I've ever heard you sing before man - you sound great. It seems like everyone we went to school with now plays music...crazy!
Ceej, Thanks so much for coming out to the ISP show!! I hope you can make the Earl show too on Wed. We go on first @ 9:30 sharp apparently. Hopefully we'll kick a camel's toe this time!! Digging your new tunes also, can't wait to get a copy!! See you there bro.
Hello Chris. Enjoying "on crutches". Very nice work here. Enjoyed your work with Myssouri as well. Thanks for including us and we look forward to hearing more.

Ya know, he DID come down off that fence and record an album. I love the new song, it just melted my pc
such different directions we've taken in music. it suprises me. let me know if you have any electronic equipment gathering dust. i had all my equipment stolen in 2003. take it easy on the east coast. so hot there i think i'd die if that was my stomping grounds.
it's about fucking time that dick bag wrote something about us. we've been waiting for his bad review since we started sending out shit 2 years ago. i just got home from tour so i haven't had a chance to pick up a copy yet, but it's my first priority as soon as i see one. by the way, i definitely won the bet. good to see you're going to play out again.
