AfireRising started out on September 2005. A band that is more than standard. With band members from: Defuse, Highschoolfever, Next Eleven and Fumblers (r.i.p), they create an energetic style where punk, hardcore and metal come together. The band AfireRising is complete with Matthias S. and Asmidin V. (vocals), Erwin G. and Michael B. (guitar), Sjors v. R. (bass) and Jochanan V. (drums)
The band plays their music with passion and full commitment. With influence from bands like Killswitch Engage, Blindside, Trivium and Refused, they destroy every thing that comes on their path.
With the coming of a powerful EP, 2006 will be an strong and extraordinary year for AfireRising. So protect yourself from the flames, because this fire is rising!
26-10-'06. Sorry peeps we have some bad news for you. Our bassplayer Sjors has decited to quite with AFireRising. He wasn't able to combine his music career with his private life. We wish him the very best and it was a fucking blast to have you. We love you and we will never forget what you gave us.
So what's next!! Well first we have to find a new bassplayer and get him in shape. So if you know someone or if you think that you fit the job let us know!
Well that's it for now. We hope to get on going again very soon, cause you know what they say "The show must go on".
11-09-'06. Ok here it is again, the day that changed the world 5 years ago.
Let's have one minute of silence................ (as if you're really gonna do that).
Last saturday the summerbreak finally ended and we were allowed on stage again (after 2 months it was goddamn time). We played at Interval again, with Offhanded and our good friends of San Andreas. It was a blast to finally play with them. Thanx mates for having us!!
We are also working on getting some cool gigs, nothing is certain yet but if things are going as planned, it's gonna be an awsome time. Our first upcoming gig is at Goothstock (hell yeah!!) We are very excited to be invited to open the Festival, because we're on the same bill as GOREFEST (again HELL YEAH!!) and our other good friends of Phaedra List. So go and check them out, if you are already there. Well enough bullsh.t, hope to see you all soon @ Goothstock. Keep on rockin!

26-06-'06. Last saturday we played at the Rock-03 venue in Dock-03. And it was awsome. We rocked the place with our good friends of Deliberate Jeopardization and 50% off. Check out the photo´s at the dock-03 site.
Thanx to all the people who came to see us trash the stage. It was the last show before we have our summer break, a view members are going on holiday and the rest is going to focus on other stuff like finishing the demo ( it´s about time don´t yah think ). So until august we are on a break, but after that we´re going for it again. So we´ll see you again in august.

And don´t forget to go to the Scream for the Summer festival on the first of July, it´s gonna be a hell of a party.
18-05-'06. Yesterday we rocked The Melkweg. Thanx to all the people who came all the way to amsterdam to see us. Big shout out to Next Eleven, they rocked!!!! In a view day you can read the report of the gig on the 3voor12 site ( drechtstede ). We'll let you know when it's online.

15-05-'06. Last saturday we finished the ep. Like you all can see, we couldn't wait to let you all hear it. Were all very f*cking proud of what it has become. Ash is laying the last hands on the art work,
and we can tell you it's gonna be awesome!!.
We'll let you all know when it's all done, keep up the patience, it's worth the wait!!
24-03-'06. Yesterday we participated in the finals of the "MIKADO" awards! We came in as second best! and this all because of YOU! We want to thank everybody who came to support us at that show! It was a BLAST and we hope you enjoyed the party!

Sinds September 2007 is de Rotterdamse muziek scene een platform rijker. Binnen het kader van Antenne Rotterdam is de Muziek Divisie actief.
Het doel? Het in kaart brengen en promoten van de Rotterdamse muziek scene. De middelen? Onder andere internetradio, airtime op tv, en een wekelijks internetmagazine. Uiteindelijk gaat er zelfs een documentaire gemaakt worden over de Rotterdamse muziek scene!
Met andere woorden wil je weten wat er in Rotterdam gebeurt en wat voor toffe bands / acts Rotterdam rijk is, houd dan de Muziek Divisie in de gaten! En voor muzikanten niet minder belangrijk; voor promotie van je band / act moet je bij de Muziek Divisie zijn! Zou jij ook wel eens gedraaid willen worden in de radioshow van de Muziek Divisie?
