*********************************************************************************************************** Hitting corners in The Vibemachine from the musically rich center of Detroit, Behn brings a unique sound, which is a blend of various forms of music. The journey started in Detroit, with Behn's introduction to hip-hop music in the early eighties. An insatiable appetite for all types of hip-hop consumed the passionate and eager double-deck cassette producer from an early age. The influence of soul and jazz he picked from his parent's record collection as a youngster became crude hip-hop loops. Crude loops would transform themselves into innovative hip-hop. As Behn moved on to college in Atlanta, he gradually started to incorporate more southern influences in his music and became open to even more types of music, adding to the melting pot of sounds which he already had been utilizing. Eventually, he would link up with R & B producer Chris "Tricky" Stewart (Rihanna "Umbrella", Mary J. Blige "Just Fine", Mariah Carey "Touch My Body"...etc) and become a daily fixture at the Red Zone Entertainment studios. This experience would teach him many crucial aspects of music production including vocal arrangement and many recording techniques. Upon graduation, Behn migrated back to Detroit to further hone his craft and develop his own unique sound. Eventually, he would migrate to NYC and LA. These unique, cultural experiences would add an even further dimension to the pallette of sound. The result is what you hear in the music player... Currently, Behn is beyond the forefront with his genuinely felt, progressively dealt sonic vibrations...Enjoy. {}
