About me: Visit African Path Village
Benin "Mwangi" is by day a credit analyst and by night a budding social entrepreneur (ok, by one night a week).
During a year-long study abroad tour he totally fell in love with Africa. Travels to five West African nations during his first visit to Africa cemented a love not only for the people of present, but also for Ancient Africa.

From grants to “soft” loans, with low interest and long maturities to private inflows, Rwanda has been on the receiving end of it all. The motives of the donors have not always been altruistic.
Ancestral connections to Africa
I can honestly say that for me, an American of African descent, that this is a subject that warms my heart. It is also very interesting to note that my family has been very keen on learning our ancestry.
Who I'd like to meet: Visit African Path Village
Mandela, Emaka Okafor (the blogger), Chris Gardner, President Paul Kagame, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, T.D. Jakes
Today I wish to briefly highlight someone who is a huge inspiration to me not just because of his raw tenacity and perseverance, but also because of his South African investment focus. The person that I am referring to is none other than Mr. Christopher Gardner, the founder and CEO of Christopher Gardner International Holdings.
Dead Poet would like to present a new song titled “Losing to Win” feat. “Q” that will be on the groups upcoming EP “In Loving Memory”. The track is broken into three distinctive perspectives over a consistent topic in which one is from a story perspective, one from third person, and another from personal experience. Sacrificing and going the extra mile to the top is what the title stands for. The chorus is voiced by female vocalist “Q” and musical production is by way of producer The 17th Dimension. Listen to it, let it melt in and then play it again if you feel the need. Also feel free to drop any comments, feedback, constructive criticism or anything you feel. The finalized EP will be coming soon and we would like to once again thank everyone for the support. Check back soon for news and updates.
Dead Poet is back with “Now or Never” which is the first in a wave of new tracks that we will be putting out over the next few months. “Now or Never” starts out with a street corner beat box freestyle where Smooth Element gives an introductory to the status of society and how we with all of our supporters are continuing to build upon a solid foundation. The chorus of the track is voiced by both Jay and War with a megaphone to give listeners the feeling, image ,and emphasis of trying to voice ourselves across a large body of people. The verses by both Jay and War cover a large array of issues and topics in an aggressive rebellious manner to display how they feel about the current state that we are in. The beat is by way of the 17th Dimension of Dead Poet with additional production from the rest of the Dead Poet crew. Come by the page to listen for yourself and please feel free to provide us with any constructive and critical feedback.
