Singers: "Bii and Rikia"
A striking duo:
the introvert and the extrovert,
the psychological and the social,
The soft voice and the husky voice,
the voluptuous and the slender,
the lovely and the pretty,
Complementary opposites, 2 persons in 1!

Influences
AFRIGIRL's music is highly influenced by their mentor Jaamiiz who believes that music comes from an innerbbeing but can be tuned to meet the needs of the outer world, not just as a means of self expression but as Healing for the soul.
In their music , i find traces of Roots, Hip hop, Reggae, Coupe decalle, Makossa, High life and some strange fusions that are quite hard to explain.
Members of this team tend to listen a lot to :
Kadja nin, Lokua kanza, lauryn Hill, India Arie, Eryka badu, Manu Dibango etc. Quite an assorted musical worldview!
2 homely groovy teens. Their smiles show it all and their voices tell it all.
Bii and Rikia, lived in the same neighbourhood for more than a decade, attending the same kindergarthen, primary, secondary and high school together - they are now headed for the same university...
For their parents, it's never hard to flash back at both teenage girls as kids swinging hands together and passionately singing their nursery school rhymes together as the came back from school all dusty...
Today, you are looking at two sweet teenagers, passionately sharing the same mic to the devoted craze of their fans, both young and old. They are the current sensation of Bamenda town and Cameroon's urban revelation in the making.
The young adore them for their hype, rythme and groove.
The old love their lyrics and exotic blend of vogue and artistic integrity.
Once out of the studio, they would be the model for every African GIRL and the wonder of millions of girls worldwide. Their music takes you into the inner world of the modern African teen, haunted by internal struggles, oppressed by a harsh social setting, yet living beautifully by their sheer nature and joix de vivre.
