The Fire Blue Sun experience is a culmination of life influence from the streets of Philadelphia to the planes of East Africa.
For the past 4 years, Liz Njeri (lyrics and vocals) and Jimmy Cass (song writer/ lead guitarist/producer) have been collaborating and searching deeply into each ones soul to create the unique eclectic sound that is Fire Blue Sun.
The Fire Blue Sun catalog is derived from the unique character of this group's members, paired with the passion to express their musical talents and ideas. The sound produced is that of none other, although influenced from rock/alternative rock, to the tribal beats of the African underground, to the smooth soul of Etta James.
Since the band's formation in 2003, Fire Blue Sun has developed a tight sound and tight niche in the Philadelphia musicians and social communities. They have played many local venues such as John and Peters, the Fire, Doc Watson's, and the Philly Stir Fry. Fire Blue Sun is also a part of the Acoustic Philly family playing and assisting in many of the organizations shows and festivals. They have supportive fans both old and new, and gain fans each day inquiring into their works.
Their self titled debut demo will be available for label assessment late 2007

Who I'd like to meet: I've already met them...Climb aka carls gone have been a pivital point in my outlook on music (has nothing to do with the fact i play with them as well)......all hail to the C-hairs,
You know,I never thought i could partake in my dreams however big or small!!!yet here i am; So humbling an experience to a depth you could not understand so i'll keep it for myself.
I'd like to meet anyone that has a positive or negative influence in my life because lessons cannot be untaught. Henceforth knowledge is catalouged.
At the end of the day, I only wish that the man himself embraces me and my friends and both remain in my life.
