Ripe flavours, sun-kissed sounds and strictly no artificial additives check out Afroganic, a musical rescue attempt on the highest level. Liberating African rythms from the confines of world music and fusing them with Londons most infectious funky house grooves
Every once in a while a musical movement comes along that is so deep and pure that it touches you not only on a melodic level, but in a way where it makes you reassess your priorities.
Afroganic is a natural, unprocessed sound with no artificial synthesiser and formulaic sound normally associated with house music.
Every piece of this work is 100% organic.
Delve deep and you will find a beautiful contradiction- a simple yet highly complex set of tunes that fuse African rhythms and home grown folk instruments such as pan-flutes to the sting Gunje, with infectious bass, guitar and funky house beats.
The hunt began two years ago in Accra Ghana where word of mouth brought droves of buskers, street performers, session musicians, talkers and thinkers knocking at the door to see what all the fuss was about.
After a couple of impromptus jamming sessions, just riffing and winging it and the odd scratching of jeans, the Afroganic sound was born.
Unlike the current trends on the market, Afroganic has successfully moved away from the drum-drenched African or world music sampled to offer an ethic alternative and actually delivers what it promises - a unique mix of rare sounds, images and various dialects spanning English and Ghanas native Hawusa, Twi, Dagonba, which has given birth to a melody so rare you wonder if each layer has been hand picked from the soil.
On this website you will see every section of the album gain momentum, marrying sounds together that on the cosmetic front would not work, but the blend is breathtaking.
Paul Simons Gracelands is the closest thing to this project, but again was apt for his era.
Twenty years on, Afroganic taps into the talent in Africa lost amid the growing influx of computer-generated music
There are no hollow tunes masquerading like they know the subject, Afroganic has worked to unearth natural rhythms and talents so enriched with musical beauty that you will not be able to resist dancing.
Numerous big remixers such as Kings of Soul have embraced the idea and are now working with Afroganic on a number of future projects to inject a new sound into the clubland.
This project is set to become a search for the unheard vocals and tunes around the globe.
In a time where so many artists forfeit their message for financial gain, we need a movement to stand up and speak the truth. Now youve found this project dont let it out of your sight.

WOW, what a classic!! New french producers craft this amazing soul track featuring mixes from Stereo Mutants & Keith Thompson.
Rebound is a beautifully crafted house track that oozes soul in all it’s forms, Nassau are Thomas Deschamps & Didier Limonet, with previous releases on Soulfuric and Yellow Productions and their recent remix of Rachel Claudio these guy’s are serious new contenders in the house scene. Krista wrote and perfomed the vocal which compliments the production perfectly... To finish off the package the Stereo Mutants turn in 2 mixes for those deeper dancefloor moments and Keith Thompson gets to turn in a special little mix too….
Thanks 4 The Support. Staying Alive. Best Regards . Didier Limonet Member of Nassau.
