-Afro Logic Team
For every movement, there must be a logic! Formed in 2002, Afrologic is essentially centred around the duo of composer and featured female vocalist Temi, alongside composer, producer, broadcaster, Gboyega Oyedele aka “ADG”, alongside a rotating cast of guest artistes.
While Temi is from a more formal background, having being a member of the University of Ibadan (U.I) choir under the tutelage of the famed Christopher Oyesiku, Gboyega is more of a self-groomed entity, progressing from dee-jaying/broadcasting as a pastime during his student years in the U.K (Loughborough), hooking up with the Lagos based Jazzhole label as in-house producer (1996-2003), with credits including “ EDE GIDI ”/ Various Artists (CD,1997), “ Ibadan ”/Adeniji (CD,1999), “ Returns” (2002), “ Live In Rabat “ [Mawazine Fest…2003]/ Fatai Rolling Dollar , plus stints on various local F.M stations including OGBC 2 FM, Abeokuta, EKO FM and METRO 97.6 FM, Lagos.
Afrologic are perhaps Nigeria’s foremost home based purveyors of ‘‘future music’’, not afraid to manipulate sounds and textures beyond what the average ‘’Naija’’ ear accepts. Thus, sampling, heavy local/global beat, loop and groove construction and de/re-construction feature heavily in their compositions, productions and remixes.
Cited as major influences, apart from obvious local ones for Temi are Ella, Sarah Vaughn, Susana Baca and Virginia Rodriguez, while for Gboyega, the likes of Roy Ayers, P-Funk, Brass Construction, Leroy Burgess, Cameo, Afrika Bambaata, Jazzy B, MAW, I.G. Culture and Joe Clausell hold sway.
Other production/remix credits for Afrologic include:
“Beleke”/Fatai Rolling Dollar,
“Surulere”
“Oriki Olorun”/Duro Ikujenyo with Jimi Solanke [NU AFROBEAT EXPERIENCE – Eko Star/Shanachie 2002], [E GO BETTA/E DEY HAPPEN – Jazzhole, Lagos 2002, 2003]
“Ile Labo Simi”/keziah Jones [E GO BETTA] and “Odun Yii/Ise Oluwa’’/Afroblue [MTN PLAY AND GO, 2002].

THANK YOU FOR STOPING BY...... When i first decided that i would create a myspace page..on Dec 15 2008 my management , friends and advisors ...warned me not to use any information regarding Michael Jackson.. they said for me stay clear of him because of the negative press that was surrounding him... it was said that no one will accept me if i mention that he's my idol and no one will like the song Dear Michael Jackson because Michael is not popular any more. It was said that people will not like me at all if i took that route..It was put to me like this... you have to think of your career.. because this will surely hurt you. I thought about it for a day and said to them i don't give a dam what people think. I'am going to be a fan of michael before i become an artist... because if i dont i would be lieing....i told them if people dont like me because of who i love then what are they to me.... I have to be myself no matter what it may cost me.. But at the same time show them that i'am orginal..... the very songs that i wrote for Michael they said will hurt me did just the opposite... people loved them.... and my song Liberian Girl Remix... Friends was coming so fast it was crazy..... You see follow your heart and god will be close by.... Little did i know that the very song i wrote for Michael ....would turn out to be a blessing for those who loved him like i did.... a song i wrote for michael ,,
