Sounds Like
...something you've never heard before.
Or something you've heard but in a different way. :-)
The oeuvre of After Crying - turning 22 this year - stands unparalleled in Hungarian music palette, and is also rare in international comparison.
The aim of this creative community has ever been to compose contemporary, up-to-date classical music that is possible to understand for many people – since it uses elements of today’s everyday musical idiom; and at the same time is able to convey deep meaning at a high artistic level, dealing with serious issues of our time.
A kind of "up-to-date classical music" that addresses both its own contemporaries and eternity at the same time. On the stage, their regular instrumentarium ranges from classic-acoustic instruments (cello, trumpet, piano, flute) to the standard setup of a modern rock band. From time to time they play shows with a chamber or symphony orchestra. On their studio-albums countless variations of classical and modern compositional methods and instrumentation appear, from acoustic chamber lineup to 21st century symphonic and electronic sounds.
All these are mounted in an organic dramaturgy, where the pieces ranging from song-format to long instrumental compositions all find their appropriate content.

Hi there! Check out my brand new song, a electronic-new wave/art-rock one titled “The Cyborg”! And don’t miss the previous ones: “Last Night At Chrysalis Hotel”, an instrumental spacesynth track full of colourful melodic solos and harmonies; "Just Illusion", kind of a baroque jazzy-pop tune with sax, some classical piano/strings influences and my usual mickkarnian "fretless frenzy" trademark! "The World Is On Fire", which has got some Duran Duran's, Alphaville's,Classix Nouveaux's, The Associates', Wim Mertens', B-Movie's and The Killers' touches, I think! Then the psychedelic-postpunk/symphonic-powermetal trashy tune"Formerly Known As The King" - somehow inspired by Muse and Sonata Arctica - and the jazzy-eastern-prog ballad "Nothing To Believe In",whose arrangement owes much to the likes of David Bowie, Arcadia, Masami Tsuchiya, Japan, David Sylvian, Mick Karn, Dolphin Brothers, Nine Horses, Furniture, The Associates, Billy Mackenzie, Metro, Scott Walker, Eyeless in Gaza,The Cure, Erik Satie, Eberhard Weber, Arrakeen, Bertrand Betsch...) and let me know what you think! Hope you enjoy my music! cheers from Rome Mario http://www. myspace. com/sleepdriver1984 _____________.s$$_________ ____s$ ________________s$$$?______s__ ___s$³ ______________.s$$$___ __.s$, ___s$$³ _____________s$$$$³______.s$__ _.$$³ ________, ____$$$$$.______s$³__ __³$ ________$___$$$$$$s_____s$³___ __³, _______s$___³$$$$$$$s___$$$, .. ____.. _______$$____³$$$$$$s.__³$$s__ ___, , ________³$.____³$$$$$$$s_.s$$$_ ___ _______..$$.____³$$$$$$$_$$$$__ _s³ ________³$$s____³$$$$$$s$$$³__ s$³
