The story of Afterlite spans many years. In 2002 Adam, Luke, Dave and Jamie met in school and started writting material under the name 'Dark Crusade'. After their first gig they decided the name was shit and it was scrapped. They then went on to record there first demo in the summer of 2003, after the first listen they realised it was shit and it was scrapped. The story continued like this for a while with recordings and gigs getting gradually less shit until winter 2005 when the 'Sunrises and falling stars' demo was recorded, to this day the boys are amazed at how little is wrong with the songs and performance. A compilation of the abovementioned demo and some new songs recorded on a 4-track ws recorded in winter 06-07 and gained a lot of local attention for it's trance-like song structures, demented vocals and dustbin production values. As 2007 rolled in, the band lost Dave. This could have killed off other bands, but Afterlite strived on, bringing in Chris from Label Records UK Ltd, All the Good Names were Taken and TBC. Chris was, and is,a breath of fresh air in the band bringing charisma and a shitload of killer riffs to every rehearsal or gig he walks into. While his beer gut may need toning his sixstring skills certainly do not. The story ends here...for now!
In January 2008 Afterlite parted ways with Jamie Horwood bringing in Chris Clarke to perform the battery. The New line up should be gigging very soon
