Called a "Powerhouse of Blues talent" and an "Ascending star" by Nationally known blues critic-journalist Eric Steiner, After Midnight Blues based in Kankakee, IL. has performed with some of the biggest names in Blues. Their shows include the 2005 Chicago Blues Festival which headlined Johh Mayall, KoKo Taylor, Buddy Guy, Bob Margolin. After Midnight Blues has opened for Lonnie Brooks, PineTop Perkins, Big Bill Morganfield and has perfomed in shows that included Lonnie Brooks, Wayne Baker Brooks, Muddy Waters Jr., Nick Moss and the Flip Tops, Kilborn Alley, Kingston Mines Showcase, Mike Reilly Band( w/Allman Brothers) and others- After Midnight Blues performed at the 2007 Budweiser Illinois Blues Festival which featured Dave Mason, Watermelon Slim, the Radiators, Kilborn Alley, Big James & the Chicago Playboys and many other great Blues artists. After Midnight Blues band members have also performed in shows that included Duke Tumato, Darrel Nulisch and Texas Heat, Lonnie Mack, Reba Russell, Australian Blues Artist of the Year Andy "Sugar Cane" Collins, and many other great performers- Karen Hanson, author of the hit book about the Chicago Blues scene titled "Todays Chicago Blues" gave After Midnight Blues a great published review after catching the band live in Joliet. After Midnight Blues perfomed at the fabled Key Palace Theater, voted one of the Top Ten Blues venues in the U.S. After Midnight Blues critically acclaimed original cds "Everybody's Gettin' Some" and "Love Gamble" have both received great published reveiws from Eric Steiner, and James Walker. Their cd made the "Top 20 cd list of 2006" Their original song "Hooch" made "Top 20 Songs of 2006". and their cd also made "Top 10 cd list of 2006" plus a great review by Tom Lounges. Both their cds' made the "Recommendations" of Blues radio personality Delta Frank the Blues Doctor of WGLT fm. These cds' have been heard regularly on this top rated blues radio show that can also be heard world wide on the internet.
