Bio
Formed in 2004, After Midnight is an exciting a cappella quartet with a full, rich sound that is sure to captivate and move any audience. In just their second year, they won the Land O Lakes District Quartet Championship, with one of the highest scores in years.
These four classically trained singers have over 75 years of combined barbershop experience, including eight district quartet championship pins and 21 individual appearances on the international quartet contest stage. This foursome also has experience performing opera, musical theatre, and choral literature throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and South America. After Midnight is currently ranked among the top 40 quartets in the world by the Barbershop Harmony Society.
With a repertoire that includes songs from the 1700s through the 1960s, they move easily between a wide range of styles including swing, gospel, jazz, and barbershop. And, while they love singing just about anywhere, they find nothing more thrilling than singing for a packed house of music-lovers just like you!
You'll be amazed at the smooth blend of their voices. You'll be even more amazed at the beauty of their tender love songs, and the sheer power they create as they shake the rafters on a rousing uptune. So, be ready to spend a lot of time on the edge of your seat while you enjoy the sounds of

If you're around on Thursday, December 10th, we are playing a show at Mario's Keller Bar. I don't know if you've been there, but it's a very cool place. It's a comfortable space, the room sounds great and they have a stellar beer selection.
Also, we will be playing ALL NIGHT! We'll play some funky, bluesy, and soulful music. We'll project live video onto a 9 ft screen. We'll play some older material that hasn't been heard in awhile, as well as some brand new songs that've never been heard. All bets are off!! We'd love it if you'd come down and listen/party with us!
The Real Community is a place where you can meet your colleagues and friends from vocal groups and choirs from all around the world, promote your music, and listen to music made by other groups.
The Real Community is made for people coming from different parts of the vocal music world - singers, vocal ensembles, choirs, festival managers, booking representatives, conductors, composers, a cappella fans - everybody who has a connection to a cappella music.
I was going to go camping over the weekend, but this is definitely NOT camping weather. So me and some friends went to check out Dueling Pianos. Those guys are amazing - they can play just about any song that's been on the radio between 1950 and 2005.
Speaking of music, I wanted to let you know about a show we have @ Station 4 on Friday, October 16th. We are debuting a project called Sonic Transformations. It is a series of audio-visual performance pieces. The first one is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". It features live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. The night will be full of creative, interesting, high-energy music, good drinks and good times.
Here's the info:
