AFTER OMEGA is a Progressive Power Metal band from Puerto Rico. Taking inspiration from groups like Metallica, Symphony X, and Iced Earth, they have succeeded in combining the aggressive attitude of thrash metal and the epic orchestrations of symphonic power metal.
The band was formed in 2001 by Emanuel Cotty, Gregory Alvey and Eli M. Bonilla. They began performing in 2003 and ever since they've worked extensively and gained the reputation of being one of the top heavy metal acts of the island, with their energetic stage presence and intense music firmly rooted in the minds of their fans. In 2006 their music became more accessible to the public when they recorded and released their self-titled debut album, and with some lineup changes, they hit the streets to promote the album and bring their music to a broader audience.
After a well deserved break in 2008, AFTER OMEGA has returned the studio and to an eager audience working on new music and performing throughout 2009 with shows already scheduled through early 2010.
