GeneralMusic, Art, Comics, Videos, Short Films, anything that requires more thought that opening a tin of Stella and settling into a televised Port Vale F.C. match.
MusicThe world is a small place now, so hook me up with your tunes. Fruit Machine Blues, JD and the Longfellows, Big Girl's Blouse, Chet, Bretton, Honeycube, Suburbanite, Sodared, Lucid Oak, Mumrah, Kvetch, Black Maria Memorial Fund, Fahrenheit 451, The Fore, etc, etc.
MoviesIt costs too much to see them in cinemas, piracy has taken the fun of it, and frankly I can't sit still for two hours to watch recycled Shakespeare, but a few good'uns are Hard Core Logo, SLC Punk, Empire Records....
TelevisionTV is rubbish, fact, 852 channels nowadays and still I'd rather be sat in the park with some good friends with a cricket set and some nice wine and cheese.
Booksinstead of right hooks.
HeroesHunter S. Thompson, our parents, Stuart O'Connor, anyone who gives up their seat for the pregnant and elderly, and the elderly who tell off shitty children for being shitty children.

   After School Music's Blurbs
About me:
After School Music was born out of frustration, a frustration that stems from being told what to listen to, what to read, and what opinions to have by the mass media outlets, including our personal favourites NME and that Sky/Sun evil empire. The shows we put on are to give people an outlet in which to experience quality underground and unsigned music, our articles reflect real opinions from real people who write with passion in mind and not a paycheck, our label is a communist party rip off that is more for the benefit of those making music, and not those cashing in on it. Ideally we'd like to bring culture back to its proper owners, the people, I know, lofty goals.
Who I'd like to meet:
Music lovers with deep pockets that will bring all the solid gold talent to the forefront, Nash the Slash, Pete Doherty's dealer, God (I hear she's fit), the Ghost of Christmas Past, Elvis (even though he's old and hiding out with Hitler in the Canaries), the dude who sold me grass seeds at four in the morning in Picadilly (my lawn looks beautiful now), the dude that sold me oregano in Camden (pasta's not the same without it), the dude that sold me baby powder in Heaven (not the place, but the club near Charing Cross, my rash is cured, thank you), left handed bass players named Mitch, Dr Who (so I can knick his time machine and save John Lennon, and eliminate Yoko Ono), the fella responsible for scaling the entire Lord of the Rings down to a music filled three hours (and then his dealer), Geronimo.

Hi After School Music,

Its been a while and we thought it was about time we updated you on what we've
been up to. Our debut EP Little World is now available at our gigs and will
soon be available from our myspace and facebook pages, you will also be able to
download it from itunes, but we don't have a release date for this as yet.

To celebrate the fact that we have now reached 25,000 plays on myspace, we are
giving you a free MP3 of Rockabye Baby. All you have to do is send your email
address to queen.elvis@yahoo.ie and we will send it to you.

We have spent the last year rehearsing with a full band and are now ready to
bring it on the road. You can get a look at us when we appear on Balcony TV
this week with the full line up. We are currently taking bookings for
gigs/concerts/festivals and can be contacted on the email above, or through our
myspace and facebook pages.

Thankyou for your continued support in what has been a great year for us!

Best Wishes

Caroline and Colin
