Do you remember when you were a kid, and you were the first picked for kickball at recess? Or you grabbed the last box of “Pop tarts” at the grocery store? Or how about the feeling you got when an old pair of pants fit you again?....Nathan Brannon’s comedy…Yeah….it’s just like that.....
I listen to pretty much everything (you should see my computer playlist). My sister always says that music should be "felt" and I totally agree with that. One genre can't encompass all the different ways that you are capable of feeling.....nor carry a message the same as others......
It's great to find "that one song" that can illustrate just how you feel at that very moment, and can bring a feeling of being content for those brief minutes that those notes dance together in your ear.....
Movies
I love films!!! I hope to be a director on feature-length films in the future. I love films that make you think, and aren't snobby or full of pointless noise. My favorite movies are......well, how much time ya got?!......
I think films have a great deal of passion. They can make you feel things that span the spectrum of emotion, do not require you to be feeling that emotion before you begin the film, and manage to do it all in about 2 hours.
Films allow you to take your imagination, and "see" somthing the way that others (usually the director) "sees" it. That is the beauty of this craft,......of this art.....
Double Barrel preview
I really liked The Persuit of Happiness, the Alchemist, the autobiography of Malcolm X, Countering the Conspiracy to Destroy Black Boys, Vol. 3., The Memior of Gordon Parks, Black Boy, and am currently reading the a number of books. Some of those are Racial Fault Lines, and The Autobiography of Dennis Washington. I may work on the Bible soon, we'l see. I hope to increase my collection as time goes on.
Heroes
Jesus, My Mother, my bros Chris Frazier, and Kevin Fuller to name a few... Anyone out there who have persevered through trials, and didn't do it for accolades....

About me: Do you remember when you were a kid, and you were the first picked for kickball at recess? Or you grabbed the last box of “Pop tarts” at the grocery store? Or how about the feeling you got when an old pair of pants fit you again?....Yeah….Nathan Brannon’s comedy…it’s just like that.
Nathan delivers his material in such a way that takes the audience on an unexpected ride, full of witty stories, and clever punch-lines. He brings smiles and hilarious anecdotes to the stage every time he grabs the microphone. He was given the opportunity to participate in events such as the Portland Comedy Competition of 2007 (finishing 2nd out of 30 comedians throughout Oregon), as well as the “Shades of Laughs” Comedy Competition in 2008 and 2009. He also participated in The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, national headliners, such as Patton Oswalt.
He has performed throughout the greater Northwest in venues, such as Harvey’s Comedy Club, The Seven Feathers Casino, Oregon Stat University, The Big Kahuna Comedy Club, Wild Horse Casino, Marson’s Comedy Club and many more. Ladies and gentlemen, put your thinking caps on, strap-in, and laugh until it hurts, with Nathan Brannon.
Who I'd like to meet: Sinbad who made me want to do comedy, Bill Cosby who makes me want to keep doing comedy, Damon Waynes, and many more.....
Anyone who is not afraid to be "real" with themselves as well as with others. If you want more from life, and have an uplifting outlook on where you want to be in the future, lets talk!
I wish I could also have met my younger brother before he passed as well.
You'll be in my thoughts and prayers man. I'm excited for you and also a little worried about how much of a comedy beast you'll be when you're back up and running. I look forward to the challenge.
P.S from her profile pic it looks like you and your lady have formed the most nonviolent chapter of the Bloods ive ever seen
Crazy how life throws you completely unexpected curves that turn out to be very serendipitous events. I've been blessed with one of those, and it makes me smile everyday.
