Most of the time, afurnishedsoul is a solo project (home-recordings, doodle and
words). On the studio record, afurnishedsoul was joined by: Arno Eschenauer (drums), Billy Knox (vocals), Emre Sevindik (beats and soundscapes), Gilli Milligan (vocals), Raph Altmann (vocals), Ben Claus (piano, trombone, recording/mixing), Misch Valente (cover artwork) and Tim Lecomte (remix).

Sounds Like
the soundtrack for a sleepless night? (cheap, cheap, cheap LOL)
afurnishedsoul is basically
a guy called Jeff. It's a home-recording thing, the musical version of a crappy polaroid snapshot or diary if you wish. I've also released a regular studio record.
AFURNISHEDSOUL STUDIO RECORD I've recorded a studio record [soundtrack for a sleepless night] together with some musician friends. Please check out their various bands and projects below in my top friends [Arno: Tvesla, Pripyat; Emre: Emre Sevindik; Gilli: Torpid, Yikez!; Raph: Lincoln Hawk, Baghyra; Tim: Loose Body Parts; Fred: Airstrip One, D:qliq]. You can listen to some songs in the player up there. If you'd like to buy a copy of my record, please read below or just message me. There's some more info (ordering info, reviews) in my blog section.

AFURNISHEDSOUL HOME-RECORDINGS afurnishedsoul started as a home-recording accident in autumn 2002. My home-recordings are a mix of regular songs and loads of improvised soundbits. You can listen to them in the player below. If you like my weird EPs, feel free to download the zip archives (*.mp3 files and cover artwork). They're free :) If you only want certain songs, surf to myflashfetish and use the titles to search for the download links. Hope you'll enjoy!! :)
Contains the
Hope's An Open Window Internet-EP released in 2003, a song by my flatmate Calum aka Turtle with soundbits by afurnishedsoul, a remix of Torpid's song Bridge, as well as fourteen demos, jams and songs recorded between 2002 and 2004.
7 demos and jam sessions recorded in 2004 and 2005. One song by and with my friend Raph (lyrics by Dylan Thomas). All nine songs by my previous trash-Schlumpfentechno-project DJ Softcore (1998-2002).
One long track running 16:51 minutes, constructed from six jam sessions recorded in late 2005 and early 2006, inspired by the movie The Shining. I think this is still my favourite recording to date.
EP consisting of four snapshot recordings (i.e. a bunch of improvised tracks recorded on top of one more or less structured track, mostly first takes, accepting mistakes as part of the process - as on quite a few of my home recordings). Pixie was the first song ever recorded on my 4-track. The other three songs were recorded between 2005 and 2006.
AFURNISHEDSOUL LIVE No concerts planned for the time being.
ABOUT MY TOP FRIENDS BELOW My top friends on this page are bands/artists related to the studio record as well as (most of) the bands/artists I've been lucky enough to share a stage with so far, plus a few organisations I'd like to support in this way.
