The name Agapesis comes from the ancient greek word “Agapé” which means a selfless spiritual form of love.
After a year of composition and establishing their own particular musical style, they exploded onto the European, electronic and fetish scenes in 2007.
Powerful songs, melodic electro, heavy basslines and rythms, combined with explicit live shows instantly won them a deal with Biohazzard Records to release their first cd “Sacrilege”.
Since then they have gone from strength to strength and are now signed to DANSE MACABRE Records.
They have played numerous shows both at home and abroad including the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Latvia, Poland, (some dates are scheduled in advance at time of writing).
With a third album due for release in September 2009, and the prestigious Elektroshokk Festival (Germany) as well as many more international dates scheduled this year AGAPESIS are fulfilling their potential with the momentum of a musical avalanche.
Agapesis have previously played at such high attendance events as Elektroshokk (DE) Der Cult (DE) , Club Antichrist (UK) , Fetish Assembly (BE) , Black Masquerade (LVT) , CC Luchtbal (BE) , Moonfog Festival (POLAND) , Zeche Carl (DE).
Their reputation has earned them the respect of the international alternative music community, with their single “Mistress of Blood” of their second album , achieving number 8 in the DAC (German alternative Charts) two places higher “The Cure”!
As well as proposed remixes from Das Ich, Kontrast and many others to be announced.
The group offers two styles of performance:
1: A concert oriented soft fetish and erotic open for every body.
2: a concert hardcore and fetish, for among more bondage (only in the prived party or fetish club).
AGAPESIS enter in DAC for the fourth week with EROTIKA:
