| General | I love to read, write, run, hike, bike or scoot around Beijing on any high-speed vehicle! Watching movies, traveling around China and around the world by the seat of my pantalones. | | Music | I like listening to almost any kind of music; grew up listening to classical, orchestral music. I really like movie soundtracks, as an art in itself to create the right music or mix of songs for people to act in and around. My top 5/6 so far: soundtrack to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Crash, Good Will Hunting, The Departed, Bridget Jones' Diary and Love Actually. | | Movies | My favorite movies are Good Will Hunting, Amelie, The Squid and the Whale, Love Actually, the Deaprted, The 3 Bourne movies, just anything with Matt Damon;I like any movie that has something to do with neurosis, mental illness, deviation from the norm,drugs etc, psychiatrists, psychology intertwined in the plot. I am a fan of Indiana Jones, Star Trek and Star Wars. I think today's films lack the classic charm of those black and whites from the 50s and 60s (Casablanca); and foreign or indie films always tend to bring a smile to my face with their innovation and deviation. | | Television | I don't watch TV unless I am bored in the U.S. | | Books | Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls; The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan; The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini; books written by Ha Jin; Citizen Girl by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus. |
