Human Stress was founded by McGreg, an old punk who played punk rock abroad in Europe between 1981-1986 and that was done with a huge success. The band was called STRESS and was famous in all those alternative circles and is being popular up till now. In late 80's due to political views McGreg came to Sweden where the daily life with job and bills to pay continued till everything just fucked up. So did McGreg too. After 20 years of break he bought a guitar and decided to express his thoughts he already got. He came across a few guys to play with but it did fuck up too. They couldn't get through anything, just trained over and over again and at the end no one remembered what it was about. Everybody improvised. So it did end with another shit.

In the meantime McGreg was searching after a girl who could sing. The meaning was to fill up the rough punk guitars with a beautiful voice so that everybody could hear the message in it. So he met MissJo via internet. She studied at the Royal Music Academy as an exchange student. Before this she was quiet successfully singing dixieland in a girls band. Last year when we were on Bornholm to visit Allinge Jazz Festival she was recognized by many of the visitors and fans over there and asked to sing as a guest.

Anyway, in the meantime we have made 12 songs which have together created our debut album HEJA SVERIGE. Tiny pieces of them you can listen to here on our Myspace side. We think that music should be easily falling into the ear. It should contain a message, a view of the world and a picture of the reality. Unfortunately not everything that surrounds us is love. That's why we sing about things that touch us in this or other way in a daily routine. We strove for that every song despite its individual punk ground should be different from another, a little bit funny, a little bit seriously, but the message is still very important to us. All the tunes we made at home, but later we turned to a professional studio and a music producer. it cost a fortune, so now we're real punks. In our lyrics there is a lot of ambiguity. Ideas to the texts are taken from the real life. All those stories came from our friends and the friends of their friends who have told us about their lives or their points of view. We have listened to them, noticed everything and written songs about their experiences. That is the reason why we got really a huge response to our music and those who dare to listen to it more carefully on and on, can be addicted to it, which we think can be amusing. We already are addicted to it. Now we are working on another project, a brand new record, but it takes time. Even if the music is simple in itself so every little time is carefully thought out and has its own life, so for a careful listener there happens a lot of things in our songs, but they don't appear directly, you have to listen to it really deeply. We attach here our 2 complete tunes: EN ENDA GÅNG and WHISKY, they are dedicated to our dear friends in a real life, we just skip the names. HUMAN STRESS gets a new member a fantastic guitar man

Bluelicks Greetings

at a gas station in my home town, a small work-class community in southern Sweden, my life was about to change as I looked at the section where they sold cassette-tapes with various artists.

it was 1975 and I was 7 years old. as I looked through the many different tapes my eye caught one that really stood out, KISS first album. I just had to get it. so after a quite intense nagging, my dad he gave in and bought it for me. the music blew me away, and they looked soooo freaking cool. Ace Frehley became my God and I wanted to learn to play the guitar more than anything. That same year I managed to persuade my parents to buy me an guitar but I had to agree to learn the guitar in a guitar school. so for 3 therms and 3 times a week I was in classic-guitar learning, hahaha, it was a real pain. but since there where no rock-schools, only classic learning, I had to stick to it. but one day I had enough, at this time I was a Punk-rocker. so dressed in beat up jeans and a Sex Pistols T-shirt and my hair in a Mohawk I walked in to class and demanded that we would play some Rock.... well it ended with me giving the bird at the teacher and taking a dump in his trash-can.
