2009 rolls around and finds Age Old Stationery embracing a more edgy sound and approach to music. With slow, bluesy, piano driven melodies and a fresh modern edge that draws from many diverse influences they seem more confident with their own original sound.
Lamenting the fallen world and empathizing with their lonely and misguided generation, Age Old Stationery's lyrics cry out for the real romance, the real satisfaction, and the real truth that can only be found in Christ Jesus.
"We want to present music that is not your stereotypical Christian music. We want to give people music that is well written and performed: music that is appealing to listen to and well done. At the same time that is not the end goal by any means. We want our music to reach into the hearts of our listeners. We want our listeners to feel understood and we want to give them a hope and show them a refuge, a love. We want to be honest in seeking for the answers and honest in presenting the joy that we have found in the forgiveness and redemption of our Savior.
I wanted to stop by and thank you for choosing me for the recording. I enjoyed working with you and hope the disc is everything you hoped for. Do you need anything from me for the reproduction? Art, info, etc??? Thanks again! Dan
