About me:
If your looking for macho or geek, I'm not your guy, but if you're looking for a sincere, considerate, romantic fellow, maybe a little rough around the edges, that's me.
I grew up in the hill country, involved in 4-H and showed steers and saddle trained horses. I'm a cowboy at heart who was raised right, as a Christian, as a Gentleman. I treat people with respect as I would have them treat me. I have that cowboy chivalry in me when it comes to treating a lady with respect. I'll open the door for her and protect her. If she insists on opening the door herself, fine, I'll just sit back and grin. It's not a disdain for women's lib, just how I was raised.
I have education in undergraduate architecture and have an appreciation for art and architecture. In growing up in a cabinet shop, my abilities fall in line with the arts and crafts movement. I love Frank Loyd Wright's style and the meaning of family and hearth that comes out in several of his houses. I have a small workshop and like to build things out of wood and/or metal.
I have coached my son's soccer team. I'm involved in his life and will continue to be. We like to go camping at the various parks within a 2 hour drive. We also like hunting. He's learning an appreciation for nature, and what guns are capable of and the responsibility that goes along with having one, not only to others but to nature. It is an awesome sight to watch wildlife in action and we protect that which also provides for us.
I'm on the beef committee at the SA stockshow. It is a lot of work but also fun and a way to give back as it's all volunteer. Proceeds support scholarships for the kiddos

Who I'd like to meet:
A lady to ride the river with, A lady who likes and expects to be treated as such, but yet knows when, where and how to let her hair down, so to speak. I'm not the typical 'universe revolves around me' type of guy, but then I'm not a geek either in the techno aspect.(I can find my way around a computer.) I do care about 'my significant other' in a way that is for the long term. One who can carry on a conversation, but is also fine with times when we are together and nothing needs to be said because we simply enjoy each other. When I write about riding the river, I mean more than literally, I'm looking for a lady to walk beside in life's journey, at times swimming the calm waters, at times riding the rapids, - as we don't control life. Not looking for a lady to walk behind me or in front but side by side, sharing and enjoying what comes our way.
