AGGROMATIC, and band founded in McLean VA, is best described as a melodic mix of punk, hard rock, and a diminutive, yet aggressive touch of metal. Combined with the bands harmonizing vocals, these elements adeptly spawn creative and catchy hooks, melodic supercharged rhythms, and brutal breakdowns with a crunch and low end that even hardcore/metal fans have come to appreciate. Formed in the summer of 2006 by guitarist and vocalist Nick Tierra, Aggromatic, consists of three members: Tierra himself, drummer/percussionist, Paul Heath, and bassist/vocalist Mark Westfield. Together the three members had worked hard constantly practicing, gigging, distributing CD’s and recording to better market themselves in the local music scene. In the summer of ’07 the band decided to hit the studio to record their first self-titled demo. The process took over 3 months after recording and mastering, but the end result was one which left the three satisfied, and indeed was a much stronger product than what any of the three had previously released with any previous projects. With the new demo at hand, the band began distributing their demo to everyone and anyone who came out to one of their shows. They played many shows around the area at venues such as the state theater, TT Reynolds, and Jaxx and It seemed as though Aggromatic was well on its way to the top of the local music scene… Then disaster struck. In the fall of 2007 bassist Mark Westfield left the band due to conflicts of interest. However, Tierra and Heath decided to push forward through the complication and began looking for a new bass player. Within a month, the band had found it’s new bass player, Brad Emmett. With the new line-up, Tierra and Heath quickly brought Emmett up to speed and within 2 months of introducing himself, Emmett found himself playing his first show with the band at a battle of the bands competition held at EJ’s Landing in Maryland. Several months later the band has played many successful shows at many venues including a show at the new Angels Rock bar in which the band coordinated what they dubbed the “drunk bus” and sold and brought it’s own fans up to Baltimore to watch the show. With many more shows lined up, frequent air play on DC 101’s “Local Lix Live”, and conferences both played and being planned at the moment, Aggromatic is pressing on and hopes to find a label that will both challenge and support them in their continuing effort to bring their sound to the masses. Stay Tuned for more.
What people are saying about AGGROMATIC:
"This genre of music is difficult to do well because the musicianship has to be technically top notch to avoid sounding rubbish.
To say this band sound like the finished article is an understatement. They sound like a well established signed band and well they should be.
This is a perfect slice of Alternative Metal blending all the right elements into a fine alloy of all that is good about the genre and whilst the genre is saturated with bands this group do it so well that you can't help but like what they do.
The musicianship is superb and the drummer is an absolute star playing tight and right and on the money throughout. Double bass drum riffs? No problem. Super tight phrasing? Piece of cake. You're a genius Mr Drummer Man and I fully expect you to get what ever endorsements you've dreamt of.
A great song brilliantly played. You deserve to go a long way."

"Great song! Right away, I love the driving sound in this song. It conveys a sense of urgency that serves the lyrics well.
The vocals are great. No pitch issues, and the intensity is perfect.
All of the bases are covered in this song to create a very full tone. The contrast of the raging guitars with the more quiet nature of the verses keeps the song interesting."
Congratulations, it's a great song!
