Emotional and melancholic Doom Metal with female vocals and grunts...
AGLAROND was formed in the middle of 1996, at the begining it was just a project, in that time the band had just 2 elements Mario Castillo on the keyboards and Lucio Ríos in drums; we were just a proyect playing cover songs of Tiamat, Cemetary, Memorium, Lake of Tears, and some other weeks later the rest of the elements join the band. The lyrics on most of the songs were taken from the "Lord of the Rings" book.
In January of 1997 the band recorded a promo tape in a 12 channel console, this promo contains 3 original songs and it' s focused to the Doom/Death Metal style
In October of 1998 we made the first demo tape that we called AGLAROND and this was more with Atmospheric/Dark/Doom styles. In April 1999 the band did their debut concert with the Mexican band TRANSMETAL and they got a very good comments from the people, zines and radio stations.
June of 2000 the band recorded their next demo tape called "Over a Wide Night of Tides", this demo contains 5 new songs and 1 cover song from TIAMAT (Visionaire), this recording has better sound than the first one.
2001 was a year with a lot of gigs in some Mexican cities.
In this year is recorded the cd debut called "THE JOURNEY..S END" in digipack versión, includes 10 tracks in a 44 minutes, songs into an excellent dark doom, with female voices, keyboards, cello and great orchestration.
AGLAROND CD debut had wonderful reviews in radio, magazines and several webpages around the world, Mexico and south America. 2005, AGLAROND record their second Mini CD Album titled "Across the Dark Night", under the label "American Line Productions", in a digipack version included their first video clip of "Screams of Agony".
In the 2007 the band started with the production of the new album "Embraced by Darkness" in this new album the members carried all the darkness from past albums and they have done a fusion of melancholy and darkness. These new album has new line-up for the ultimate AGLAROND.
