Aglet creates a sound that can vary from a slow acoustic melody, to the lighter side of hard rock. Each member of the band adds a little of their own favorite musical genre. Some major influences are bands such as Jimmie Eat World, Howie Day, Coheed and Cambria, and Dashboard Confessional.
In the later part of 2002 Nick came to the end of his punk days and wanted to explore his love for acoustic guitar. Aglet, meaning the end of something: like the end of your shoelace (or punk in Nick's case), seemed to fit the title of his new musical journey. It started out as just Nick, but soon after, Joe was adding little parts to the acoustic songs with his electric guitar. The two of them played a few shows locally and acquired a small following consisting of close friends. The excitement of knowing people enjoy listening to Aglet’s music just as much as Aglet enjoys playing it has sparked a very strong fire in the musical hearts of the members.
Inspired and interested in further song writing, their thoughts of forming a full band began to surface. Their childhood friend, Dave Tummillo, had started playing the drums in the later part of summer 2006. After two weeks behind the set, he was playing along with Nick and Joe! Aglet is always changing and is determined to make things just they way they want it....keep a lookout for a full length album in the next few months to come!
i also never noticed till now how AMAZING "Chance Of A Lifetime" is especially towards the end with the piano and how you scream that one line in it sounds soooo cool.
