About me:

Mi chiamo Luca Scopetti, sono nato nel 1984 a Pisa, e vivo nella stessa provincia. Mi occupo di arte in senso ampio da diversi anni. La mia creatività si manifesta nei più svariati campi… dalla cucina alla musica, per finire poi all’attività che mi occupa maggiormente… la pittura. Dipingo la condizione umana nei suoi aspetti più profondi, utilizzando tecniche miste e perfino il materico. Sono talmente appassionato d’arte in qualsiasi sua forma che per portare avanti questa passione da qualche anno mi dedico all’attività di curatore organizzando mostre collettive e personali presso diversi hotel di alto livello nella mia amata Toscana cercando di promuovere artisti emergenti e non, e perché no… anche me stesso!!!!

Luca Scopetti's work is often thematically focused on the human condition, and his visual exploration of these fervently held topics conjures a universe of textures and forms. Whether he conducts a frenzy of colors and shapes that climb up the canvas, or focuses on visual motifs that are more iconic and symmetrical, his paintings tap directly into the viewer's subconscious through a dance of shapes that occupy a space partly in the material world and partly in a dream state. Yet Luca's paintings remain grounded in real-life concerns, with a dynamic mix of organic forms lying hidden within his abstract gyrations. His works conjure an equally wide range of moods, by turns carnivalesque, brooding, or contemplative. There is a dual nature to the passion in Luca's aesthetic--his focus is both formal as well as thematic, and his innovative use of the canvas has its counterpart in his courageous delving into the psychological. He challenges as well as invites us with these original, visually appealing works. He currently works and resides in Fornacette-Pisa, Italy.
