‘Agro Records’ touches down with a fresh new Techno sound for 2008. Many gut busting years in the making, the Agro sound is being bought to you via the digital and vinyl medium from two up and coming artists and key players in the European techno movement.
Firstly Alex Jann AKA Rhythm Logistics (UK), who’s taste for a certain kind of tough, rolling yet funky dancefloor sound comes from nearly a decade DJing in the UKs vibrant underground scene, both as promoter, player, mover and shaker for the notorious Section 63 Soundsystem, and as a guest for events and systems including Tribe of Munt, Manik, Malfeuteurs, Technosis, Tribal Medicine, Gener8er and the Teknotribe crew in South Africa.
Not content with playing other peoples records, Rhythm Logistics has been locked away in the studio perfecting his sound which has already been picked up by the likes of Glenn Wilson’s ‘Template’ label as well as the Stay up Forever crew’s ‘Wah Wah’ and has also seen regular work with the North Wales Fat Collective of artists on labels including ‘More Punk Than Funk’ and ‘Bandwagon Beats.’
Now with a massive arsenal of tracks behind him, Rhythm Logistics and Agro records are ready to cause some serious war on the dancefloor and over the coming months you can lock into some serious beats spanning the entire Techno spectrum whether its the kind of relentless juggernaut of a groove that we’ve come to expect, or more of an out-there, wonky funk.
Second in command is Ian Hendrix (SPAIN), who began his career as a DJ playing at all kinds of events around Catalonia, but especially in the county of Barcelona. In his sets you can appreciate many different styles: from the fresh side of “funky techno”, towards a more percussive style “hard-groove” ending on the hardest and forceful edge “hard-techno”. At the moment he has played in clubs like as: Cyberian, La Cova, Ciclik, , L..Eix , Code club-barcelona- , Sala Campus & Dual Festival, Code club- vic , Habitat, Sugar Club, El Mànix , The Room etc
Ian has so many times conquered the crowd playing at "non official" events such as (Rave /Squat parties with Manik, Dyskonform, High Voltage etc.) organized around Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Portugal… He..s actually member of the Spanish international booking agency SHAPE BOOKINGS (www.shapebooking.com / www.myspace.com/shapebookings).
Ian also has been an active member of the underground party crews of Barcelona as well as playing on many of the UK’s underground soundsystem elite, this is where Alex and Ian first met and have been friends ever since.
Between them, Alex Jann and Ian Hendrix have shared the decks with many international artists such as:
