Music
Too many to list. But Lifehouse, Mat Kearney, Jars of Clay, Switchfoot, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Josh Groban top my charts, and Collective Soul, Thousand Foot Krutch, FM Static, Jeremy Camp, AG Silver and Love & Theft would be quick to follow.
But my "Featured Artist Of the Week" is the Goo Goo Dolls
Without You Here
(John Rzeznik/The Goo Goo Dolls)
Your love's a gathered storm I chased across the sky
A moment in your arms became the reason why
And you're still the only light that fills the emptiness
The only one I need until my dying breath
And I would give you everything just to
Feel your open arms
And I'm not sure I believe anything I feel
And now, now that you're near
There's nothing more without you
Without you here
And I'm trying to believe
In things that I don't know
The turning of the world
The color of your soul
That love could kill the pain
Truth is never vain
It turns strangers into lovers
And enemies to brothers
Just say you understand
I never had this planned
And now, now that you're near
There's nothing more without you
Without you here
Without you here
There's nothing more without you
Without you here
My head lies to my heart
And my heart it still believes
It seems the ones who love us are the ones
That we deceive
But you're changing everything
You're changing everything in me
And now, now that you're near
There's nothing more without you
Without you here

"LESS THAN 3% of 'EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS' SAID THEY WOULD FINANCIALLY HELP A CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION MINISTER TO AN AIDS ORPHAN."~Barna Research
SO IF YOU'RE AN UNBELIEVER AND WERE COUNTING ON THE CHURCH TO SAVE THE WORLD FROM IT'S DEVASTATION, OR YOU ARE THE CHURCH AND WERE HOPING THAT YOUR OTHER BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST ARE FIGHTING THE BATTLE FOR YOU...SADLY, YOU ARE MISTAKEN.
HOW DOES GOD SEE THIS ISSUE???
"This is how we've come to understand and experience love: Christ sacrificed his life for us. This is why we ought to live sacrificially for our fellow believers, and not just be out for ourselves. If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God's love? It disappears. And you made it disappear."

"GOD is in the slums,
in the cardboard boxes where the poor play house.
GOD is in the silence of a mother who has infected
her child with a virus that will end both of their lives.
GOD is in the cries heard under the rubble of war.
God is in the debris of wasted opportunity and lives,
and God is WITH US if we are WITH THEM."
Sorry if you feel like you've been bombarded by social justice and poverty issues on my site. It was never my intention to burden my friends with guilt over the blessings that they have when they visit me. I do have happier things and just plain stuff about me down below. But sometimes I think it's good for us to feel a little uncomfortable now and then. Being comfortable never moved anyone into action. And I know that I myself was pretty happily ignorant about many of these issues not so long ago, until someone took the time to tell me about who and what was being ignored. I think that many of us have been taught a lie about our lives and even about our faith; that we were born for consumerism and that everything in the earth is for us and about us, only. I feel like the closer I've tried to truly find Jesus, and follow his footsteps and words, he nearly always leads me to this type of passion, for people like you see above. I believe the scripture in James 1:27 is truth and it is still relevant for today. I believe that "true and undefiled religion is caring for the widows and orphans". I believe that God specifically pointed out these types of persons because they are people that you must sacrifice and give to, never being able to expect anything in return. Not because they are not grateful or willing, but because they have nothing tangible to give. I question if we really were to take time to think about it, would it finally sink in that that is exactly what Christ, himself, did for us? The little that my heart is able to overpower my mind into giving to these people who can offer me nothing, often feels like a sacrifice for a split second. But I have found that unbelievable joy follows. Joy in knowing that it's somehow made a huge difference to them, and joy in knowing that my Savior is teaching me to see people the way that He sees them. There is nothing else the world can offer me that is greater and more desireable to me than that. So I hope these images and videos do not burden you, but more like free you. God bless.
I am the young mother of two beautiful children, the wife of an honorable man, a good friend to whomever will have me, and the follower of a perfect Savior.
“I meant it all and every part, and every word right from the start. I’ll never let this love fall in the middle. ‘Cause you know you broke the hardest part. You know you broke the hardest heart. I’ll never let this love fall in the middle...through it all.” ~ Mat Kearney

Amie! It was fantastic to see you tonight! (last night) Thanks for braving the weather, and even taking the time to chat after the show. Your great, and we are honored to have you as a friend!
A double date sounds fun! That way I wont need to get a babysitter on two separate occasions. Now it's coming up with a time where we're all available. That's going be a chore, with our ever so busy husbands. What should we plan for them? Lets do something like dinner and bowling maybe... We definitely need to do something where we are able to talk. I don't know about you but after being with children all day, all I want to do is talk! Let me know soon cause the busy seasons are coming quick! I'm thinking maybe Nov.7th or 8th or is that when your in Chicago? If it is then Nov.14th or 15th.
Oh yeah, did the stuff I bought you work? The drops are for building your immune system. I hope it worked miracles, us mommas don't have time to be sick. Feel better if your not already and have a great Halloween! Kristin
I had a lot of fun and the kids did also! Thank you very much, I hope we can do it again fairly soon!!! I know your quite busy with wonderfully fulfilling things so keep it up!
