hyvää huomenta! "good morning!" in finnish. i only put this up because it's my favorite saying and i'm a morning person ^_^. also, hyvää joulua! merry christmas! i love the holidays, so don't be scrooge, or mr. grinch.
take joy in spending time with your family. if you don't enjoy your family, spend time with your loved one. if you don't have a loved one, just be thankful you're alive; breathe in deep, and remember that this holiday isn't about gifts, one single religion, or decorations. it's about being able to breathe, cover yourself in cheer, cover yourself in lots of bright red and green...and smile.

a little about me...

I stumbled upon these words above when I was actually researching for an essay I was and am writing about the emotion and mental state of being called confusion. Yes, I know it isn't exactly a common subject or idea to write an essay on, but I chose to. I am home schooled by my amazing mother, and confusion is something that I wanted to write about. You see, it's not just a part of life, or a mental state of being, or even an emotion. It plays probably one of the biggest roles in life. When we are younger, we learn by confusion. We don't have the slightest idea what numbers, or letters are. All we know is ignorance, innocence, and survival; quite similarly like humanity was before technology, military, fueding and economy ever erupted and became one. Before there was any of what we have now, before we found fundamental building blocks of life, we all knew what confusion is and was. When we get older, we literally confuse confusion as ignorance, and that's not the case at all. Confusion is to be dazzled or befused, or flustered by a subject, object, and/or a situation. Ignorance is not stupidity, but it is simply to not know. Thus the outcome: "Ignorance is bliss". I find little truth in these words, however. The reason I'm rambling about confusion and ignorance is that they play such a large role inside of not only my life, but others lives as well. I am easily confused, but I am not ignorant. The people I care about, are very ignorant. They don't see that their decisions and choices affect others. Ignorance, in the end, is not a bliss. However patience is a virtue, and patience is something I have a steady grasp on. I'm Kathlean Styles. I'm a writer, a reader, a passionist, a romantic, a philosophist, a photographer, an optimistic, a masochist, and a human. Forgive me if I have led you to believe that this is a rant, because this is far from that. It is my writing, my truth, and my passion put into words of history and facts. I am confusion and ignorance. But I am also innocence, and inside of wars I am the neutral being of silence. It's nice to meet you.
