Le groupe prend forme en janvier 2005 sous l'initiative d'Aurélien et de Cédric, tout deux anciens membres de Ill Divine, leur but est de réaliser un death metal sombre et violent : Ahura.
Rejoint par Maximilien (chant) dès les premières répétitions, le groupe ne se consolida qu’un an plus tard avec l’arrivée de Christophe au poste de bassiste.
Après différents changements de batteur, le line up fut stabilisé en janvier 2007 avec l’arrivée de Florian M. Mais après quelques concerts et l’enregistrement d’une démo « maison » un an plus tard, celui-ci décida de quitter le groupe en juin 2008.
Janvier 2009, Ahura recrute un nouveau batteur au prénom fort familier de Florian.
A la grande surprise de tous les membres celui-ci avait déjà connaissance de la majeure partie des morceaux.
Désormais nous sommes de nouveaux prêts à affronter la scène pour votre plus grand plaisir !
After leaving the death metal group Ill Divine for several reasons, the two guitar players Aurélien and Cédric decided to create a new project with an even darker and more violent death...Ahura.
Maximilien, an old friend, who had already played with Cédric several times, was soon invited to join them as lead singer. In January 2005 a bassist and a drummer joined them and they started to compose. However, they left the group 6 months after they arrival due to artistic differences.
This allowed Ahura to redefine their goals and review their songs. It was also the occasion to find a new bassist: Christophe. Having already played with Aurélien in a Black Metal band (Miseîn), he turned out to be exactly what they were searching for.
Finding a drummer proved to be a little harder, and it took months until the old drummer from Miseîn joined them. Once more, artistic differences forced the drummer to split away only 6 months later. Finally, in January 2007 the missing link was found and Florian joined Ahura.

Salut Gros concert Metal le 15 fevrier 2009,au Havana cafe 2 av des Cretes 31520 Ramonville St Agne. Ce concert est organise par l'association "le lapin noir".
