I read Tolkien's works at an early age and incorporated them (or probably more accurately, they incorporated themselves) into the Spiritual me: they became the 'lens' by which I perceive, and the framework through which I express, all Spiritual and Mystical experiences. I think the Legendarium's biggest impact upon me was to create a very strong mythological 'core' which I could fall back on in times of misfortune in my life (there have been many). This was probably the major difference in Worldview I noticed between myself and those others whom I encountered when I first began exploring this Path: not many other people embody a Mytho-History that is so structured and so multi-faceted.
With that in mind, I founded Tië eldaliéva (Path of the Eldar {'Star-people'}), a Tolkienist Spiritual Path, with a small core group of others who were drawn to the Archetypes found within Tolkien's great Mythos on August 23rd, 2005.
It was shortly after this that I met the wonderful woman who would later become my wife, and who is the first person listed on my Friends list. As I spent more time with her, I learned that she was both intelligent and compassionate, as well as insightful: it was she who first recognized that I had Asperger's syndrome, which had gone unrecognized until then and was not officially diagnosed until the Summer of 2006. It was probably because of the intense focusing ability that we Aspergians have that I developed my personal theology around the Legendarium in the dedicated manner that I did, having had only limited social experience for most of my life, and no one to discuss these things with at deeper levels.
It was, I think, partially due to my attention to detail, and yet also because of my ability to foresee trends, that I became aware that my core values were significantly different from those of some of the other Founders of Tië eldaliéva—to the extent that it would better if a new group was spawned from the old; consisting of myself and those others who share a similar Worldview. Thus was born
