The Calm Before the Storm was engineered and produced by Andrew DeSilva, who has worked with Jessica Mauboy, Tina Arena, Natalie Bassingthwaite, etc. The record encompasses the “Aimee Francis sound,” which combines heavy, moving vocals with a plethora of seasoned veterans. The results are an astounding array of fearlessness and musical craftsmanship. The album showcases her many influences, from Pink to the Rolling Stones, as she fuses powerful ballads with rock 'n' roll sensibilities that are well beyond her years. ....
