i was not always like this. i dont know when it started. when i was a kid my mother made me wear a pair of leather school shoes with pointed toes ,i hated them. they were an embarrassment, all the other kids had trainers, i remember trying to explain to my mum that the shoes were too 'posh'. she wouldn't listen, so one day on my way home from school i took them off and threw them into the river. i told my mum they had been stolen. she spanked my arse.

Katie	May 23 2009 10:03 AM ainslie... you are not the easiest fellow to get hold of; i couldn't be sure whether or not you use facebook that often as it's not mentioned on your website. instead, i have dug up my ancient myspace account just to send you a little message. i'll try to keep it from becoming too much of an epic read, but please try not to fall asleep before you get to the end. i hope these messages don't have a limit. so i watched you on fame academy when i was about 12. i had never watched any form of reality television before and i quickly became addicted. it was pretty much all i ever went on about, much to my parents disdain. i played the album non-stop, and as i write this i now have "keep me a secret" going around in my head. and then you disappeared. i don't regret you not having won though, i wouldn't have liked to see you carry on all 'poppy' and manufactured. i'm afraid to say that "growing flowers by candlelight" had not reached me until earlier this year when, by chance, a friend reccomended it to me. i was more than intrigued when i realised it was you, and after playing it once i have not listened to much else. it is like the fame academy fascination all over. your music is so mellow, and perfect; i wish i had come across it a little sooner. you don't seem to play publicly that much anymore, but i hope you are still writing beautiful songs. thanks for the music ainslie, you're awesome. katie x
