Erin Sexton grew up in Chilliwack, BC. She studied at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver from 2001 to 2004. Through this time her artistic output was single channel video/sound work, performance, and multi-media installation. In 2004, she moved to Montreal and began improvising with hand built oscillators, amplified objects, shortwave radio, bass feedback, etc, independently releasing her first full length album that same year. She continued to study music, electronics, video, and performance at Concordia University, completing her BFA in 2006. She currently lives and works in Montreal, building instruments, making video art, performing solo, and improvising with other local and international sound artists/experimental musicians.
