"I want to tell you how much i have enjoyed your book. I've owned To Air is Human for only three short months and have read it approximately five times. Quite simply it has turned into one of my favorite books. As a struggling musician that is totally enamored with the mythos that is "Rock" i believe air guitar is a very important, necessary and instinctive thing (or non-thing). i give you two rock fists up, or as i like to say, too much rock for one hand."

" was standing in the music aisle of books-a-million when i came across this tale of heroic trudges through the increasingly popular art form of air guitar. i looked at the cover...read the back...and immediately bought it. a few months later i read it. i read it in a mere two days. i couldn't put it down. sir bjorn, i am so glad you wrote this book. i feel like i know you. i am seventeen, on the verge of going to college and i needed this book."

AND, the AIR GUITAR NATION THEME SONG, by me, BJORN TUROQUE. Available HERE
I loved "Air Guitar Nation". The theatre that showed it here in Fort Lauderdale Florida (Cinema Paridiso) had a real air guitar contest. I got second place and got a bass wah with the Guitar Center certificate.
All that for pretending to be either Dick Wagner or Steve Hunter during Lou Reed's "Vicious" off "Lou Reed Live" (1975).
Funny thing is that one of the stereo channels did not feed through the PA so I wound being only one of those guys. It kind of made it easier as I did a little less soloing. Luckily the more prominant leads came through or it could have been a disater.
Bjorn Turoque! nice to meet you in cyberspace! loved Air Guitar Nation. please drop by every once in a while to comment on new works! cheers, DWIEG "Losing a Pet" www. OhTheHumanity. etsy. com
"I ask her why she wants to be on America’s Got Talent.
“I want to be famous, you know? When I’m famous, I won’t have to go to counseling every week?..”
In my four years on the international air guitar circuit, it’s the finest justification I’ve ever heard for seeking fame—and I wonder: If I make it on the show, could I finally quit therapy?"
Just wanted to say congratulations on your TIME video and for being the first American to host the World Air Guitar championships! I thought your costume was awesome, and it was totally cool that they had girls dancing behind you on stage, with choreography even! That's just pro all the way, man.
Yo, Turoque! I remember going to Tower Books the week they were about to close. I was shuffling through the half-empty shelves looking for an autobiography or two of famous musicians. I couldn't find any, but I stumbled upon a stack of your books. I picked one up thinking, "Hey, 35% off? It might be worth it." After I bought it, it sat in my shelf ever since last week. I mean, that's pretty long, right? Tower's been out for a while now. Anyway, I finally started reading it to relieve of the stress from finals week (this week). Geez, dude. Nice book. I couldn't put it down. It made me sit alone under a tree during lunch to finish it. And it was awesome. I never knew air guitar could do that to a person. Haha. I kid. Well, I've enjoyed reading about your 'dick-do' and the 'Asian Fury' and thank you for making reading rock. I might actually do some more of this reading thing. Ya know... like books.
