well my own solo stuff is mostly sitting in my computer right now. I suppose i may put some of those up on here but were going to be getting together a few of my songs next week hopefully for bsp. Were kind of figuring each other out i guess.

ohh haha yea its mostly people who want to make rap beats who ask if i have fruity loops

ive been working on a new version of the jonkickass song with real guitar and real bass, it just needs some work because the volume levels need to be adjusted but once thats done it is pretty much done, i need to do some fixes also

i love rock band haha but i havent played it in a while because i had it for ps2 and now i usually only play gh5 or sometimes gh2 ive been getting 99% on more than half the songs on expert im gonna become one of those youtube kids
not
i used to be able to sing a few songs on expert pretty well i got 96% on creep and i did it while playing guitar and singing but it was a way lower score
you like left 4 dead?

:D

Thanks so much - Yeah, I'm hoping to release some stuff in FLAC soon, but I haven't had the chance to examine the tracks and make sure they aren't transcoded or anything. I've got my three most recent releases in WAV and FLAC ready to be distributed but I haven't had the opportunity to look them over, so for now they're sitting on the sidelines.

I'll get to it soon... I'm hoping to do my next release on MP3 and FLAC simultaneously, but this time it just didn't quite work. Haha.

Holy crap, i'm glad somebody actually likes it, I wasn't sure if anyone would get it or hear it in the right way (that sounds really pretentious lol), it turned out to be a really experimental and abstract piece for me, which is weird considering that when I started to make it I wanted it to be like dub-step music with the slow pace and the heavy bass.

So how have you been? Still making awesome sounds? Have you been working on an EP or anything like that?

haha yea dude i know what you mean, songs always take a while to develop
some of them you get all the ideas out right away and then just spend a while fixing it up

fruity loops? yea all my friends ask me if that's what i used lol. ive done everything ive ever made with ableton, is fruity loops just really easy to use or what?

plug this in the penis was just like, a little beat i made that was supposed to be a rap song for me and my cousin's joke group (you might have seen the friend request) but we ended up working on a different track and my little bitty cousin just started talking over it instead lol so that was the result

the perry's song was just inspiration from being at the Perry's Tent at lolla that weekend lol i didnt spend much time making that track as you can probably tell, it's just something i put together and then spent about 3 other nights fixing it all up, i wanted to be cool like the DJs at lolla lol

and yea i used to be into gaming alot but i dont really play too much anymore. i still have crossfire (which is the freeby version of counterstrike basically) but i dont play much. i played runescape back in the day but i quit that like 2 years ago. i still have halo 3 but i'm really rusty and i never play anymore. the only game i really play a lot now is guitar hero! haha i got 100% FC on plug in baby :D but that song's really easy... ive gotten all but one notes on plenty of other songs from gh5 it seems easier than the previous ones... or maybe i just got better idk

Haha, yeah our raves aren't "real" raves but they're fun regardless. Yeah, and surprisingly down here a bassist is somewhat hard to find

Oct 28 2009 5:27 PM

haha thanks
yea i would like to do more work on it in the future
i was thinking about taking out that first part and changing the weird sounding laser guitar at the beginning the first one that plays the melody, to a synth or some type of sound other than that but i dont know, that'll be something in the future :>
i wish it could be on a game haha that would be hilarious
but yea dude the song you made is really good i mean there is i guess a couple things you could touch up but it's really great as is, like it sounds like something you'd hear of an album from a big artist
and i just want to say (not to hate) but it sounds better than like 50% of the animal collective songs ive heard
what i'm saying is, if they can make it big making a lot of bull shit songs, and you have a good track like that (plus a few other good ones too, the joke rap beat you made is better than some of the ones me and my cousin did haha) you could definitely get tons of fans

Oct 28 2009 2:52 AM

okay finally.
this should sound a lot better
i accidentally changed the sample rate and that made the entire song sound different
especially two of the guitar tracks they sounded too low pitched and stuff

i didnt really change the bass, i just kept it, it's a gentle distortion guitar with some added tone that's about it, i think im gonna leave this track as is for alittle while im workin on some other stuff

you should listen to me and my cousins joke group:

sorry for all the comments lol

Oct 28 2009 2:51 AM

yea i know it was something i put together and i realized it sounded ok
i dont like all the fake guitar and bass either haha i just basically used the first one that sounded slightly accetable,
thank you for the criticism i am going to change that up soon haha
criticisms are always good
it's better than people just saying "good stuff!" because theyre lying

and i wanted to tell you the other day that i like that interval offset track you have, it's different from what im used to hearing

Haha, That's awesome dude, we missed the vertigo tour too, well missed probably isnt the right word,i didnt really know i liked u2 at the time and my dad isnt one to get super excited about shows if i dont get him excited for it, he's content just listening to an album, like shows just arent a priority for him,he still enjoys them though.... We did the pre sale also, i told him pretty much the same thing. I also told him there was no way i was missing muse again, i would have been the most miserable person on earth that night if i wasnt there. Thats awesome that youll be off school. I'll be a senior in high school next year so i dont have the option of taking a semster off. I would have preferred ga tickets but im not going to complain, imjust happy to have some tickets.

Dude, i really wish we didnt live so far apart cause that would be awesome. I love playing onreal pianos,it'sso much better than digital, imo, and getting to record properly would be great as well. Maybe one day I'll be able to travel up there, I've been to Chicago once and it seemed cool, better than Atlanta anyway. Im sitting up in the 33 dollar seats because my dad is paying for tickets (he likes u2 alot so he wanted to go). He didnt want to stand in the ga, he wanted seats so he could eat a hot dog and not have to stand but he also didnt want to pay alot. But the seats are probably as good as they could be for that range, were pretty much right beside the stage. two of the bets live bands in the world on the same night, i really cant wait.

Apr 6 2009 3:26 AM

It's going pretty good. I actually have three songs that ive been working on. I've recorded everything but the vocals on one ( lots of synth and if i may say so myself some halfway decent guitar playing by me, thats not saying much though lol) and then there's two others that are based around the piano. One is just sorta quick paced the whole way through and the other has almost like a hoodoo feel about it because it starts out real soft and then builds up real big and then comes back down. I left one of my mic cords at my drummers house though so i cant do vocals till i get that back, sometime this week. But i'm going to get those up as soon as possible. Oh! Im going to see Muse in October, first time. im beyond pumped about it already and there's still like six months to go.
wow this was a pretty long comment
