Back to Work Records is proud to announce the release of airplane noise’s self-titled, debut EP. The inimitable airplane noise has crafted an album’s worth of quirky and earnest indie, power pop songs that convey a longing for love, sobriety, and even some shuteye. The five-song EP showcases the band’s playful, yet introspective lyrics and buoyant, yet plaintive vocals against a musical landscape filled with horns, keyboards, guitars, strings, ukuleles, and other various instrumentation.
Recorded throughout late 2007 and early 2008, the EP was self-produced at the band’s home studio in Clifton, New Jersey. The CDs were subsequently packaged in environmentally friendly eco packs—100% recyclable, PCW, 18 pt. chipboard—and come with two free stickers. The record is currently available from Back to Work Records, CD Baby, MySpace, and a number of other online retailers, including iTunes, Rhapsody, and Amazon. 1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. 2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

Okay so there is going to be a show with anywhere from 70-90 kids at my house (Next door to Kevin's parents). Right now there are 5 bands and it's from 2:00-9:00. I thought I'd let you know in case you want to play. I can't pay you but there WILL be madddd young girls there so if I were you that would be even better than money. Let me know soon, it's August 15th and we're doing a dry run on Aug 8th. Oh and yes we do have a PA system, I think that was kind of an issue for our last show but we have a good one now.
I'd like to personally thank you very much for your recent performance at The Cherrywood in Clementon, NJ. The band put on a great show, that everyone enjoyed. The crowds have been great at The Cherrywood, and booking solid bands such as yours is the reason for it. I'm looking very forward to you're next appearance at the club.... Again, a big sincere thank you to you, as well as your great fans.
hahaha what a weird dream, or is that just a hint that i haven't been to a show yet? lol you gotta start making your shows on fridays, thats when im off work.
You've put together a solid band and I really (truly) dug your performance. You sound just as good live as you do on your EP. The newer songs you guys did were definitely steps in a positive direction, but I still like Saddest Song best. You could have just replayed your set list as your encore and no one would have cared. If they want more Airplane Noise, give it to them. Ha.
This is the music I listen to when I am on the stream and the fish just arent interested in biting. I find solace in knowing that there is someone out there feeling similar pain, even if it is caused by completely different circumstances.
