Airtight Productions recording studios are tucked away in a quiet corner of Chorlton, Manchester, but has been home to The Earlies, KT Tunstall, Fear of Music, Stephen Fretwell, The Longcut, Micah P. Hinson, King Creosote, GeEkgiRL, Nine Black Alps, Leona Naess and many more... Airtight is run by musicians, for musicians and the two studios are fully equipped to record all styles and possibilities..

The studios comprise -

Studio 1 is based on a 128 track Protools latest HD system on a Mac with Control 24 mixing desk and tons of powerful editing plug-ins, this studio is ideal for band recording with it's large acoustically lovely live room -

Studio 2 is a native system based around a Tascam DM-4800 digital mixing desk, running Protools, Cubase and loads of other productions software and samples - this studio is ideal for smaller groups and vocal overdubs with it's acoustically dampened live room, and also is ideal for production and track creation.

There is a wealth of available equipment for musicians, drum kits, amps, even an upright piano and of course top spec mics and preamps to get the best sound possible.

There are 4 on the recording and engineering team -

Tom Knott, who produces and plays live for The Earlies and has built himself a fantastic reputation recording albums with Micah P. Hinson, King Creosote and Fear of Music to name but a few;

Tracey Browne, producer for GeEkgiRL, also worked on tracks with The Shallow Call, Coraline, Dorne, Becca Williams and many more;

Anthony Davey, who specialises in music production, re-mixes and backing tracks in multiple styles for many varied clients, helping musicians realise their material, as well being an established songwriter and musician himself;

Alan Lowles, who also specialises in music production and composition and has worked with musicians from the full cross section of music, from hiphop and dance to classical, folk and jazz.

There is also a full multimedia service available, from graphic design and DVD authoring to band videos, the specialist is Tom Grimshaw who has worked with many renowned artists over the last 15 years.
