About me: I'm Aisha, I am 16, and I refuse to follow the norm. I am very interested in womens studies. Dancing is my passion. So far I dance Tango, Blues, Lindy Hop, and Westcoast Swing. I have also done a little bit of tap, African dance, Salsa, Hula, and Hip Hop. I want to study as many styles of dance as I can before I turn 18. I got my GED finally, so I can spend all of my time dancing, traveling, and improving my teaching. I wanted to go to Argentina to study tango for as long as possible when I turn 18, but after spending time training in Sweden and London, I am leaning more toward saving for a trip to differnt dance events around Europe (most likely lindy hop events :P). Lots of people ask me if I feel like I am missing out on normal teenage things, so I figured I would post my answer. No, I think that I have had much better experiences following my passion than I would have had if I stuck it out in High School. I doubt I would be half as happy as I am now if I followed the norm. I love my life! :)
