Aisle 11 formed from the big mantastic fallout. William was working at the local music studio and placed an add looking for a band, about 2 weeks later the add was answered by gus. They met at the bistro and discussed bands they like, what kinda music they play and what they want a potential band to sound like. Lester was soon informed about this and joined to become the third member, the only problem was no drummer. We eventualy got a guy called cal, from a semi famous band "FO Machete" who played for about 3 months, then due to other commitments we parted ways, we were kinda fucked for a drummer, but gus knew a guy whose son could play drums, he lasted all of about 3 practices till we kicked him out, lets just say he "sucked". Now comes the 26th december, supposed to have a practice at RR, so who do we phone to play drums, none other than Kenny Martin, the former "Big Mantstic" drummer, first practice he fitted in very well, and about 4/5 practices later we recorded a 4 track demo, which you can hear here. Since then we have had severl hundred practices lol, and have a few gigs booked.
Its hard to describe our sound, from the demos you can hear, maybe a punky/grunge sound, but as our new songs (2nd wave lol) are devoloping a sorta old school hardcore punk crossed with alt rock. We are going back into the studio sometime in june to work with a producer called mark, he works for the tolbooth nd does awesome recordings, so check him out if you can. Also we would like to say thanks to Chas, Psymoon (aka goatboy aka simon), Guy, sharron, claire, mumsie, the devil (for kennie), and anyone else who has helped us along the way :)....
Aisle 11 use hamer guitars, ibanez guitars, epiphone guitars, fenix jazz basses, warwick rock basses, and any old drunkit kenny can find really. Boss pedals, DS1, DD-3, CH1, GE7, compressor/sustainer, Mega distortion, 1 fender tuner (gus's only pedal, but shhhhh), also on occasion an old behringer vintage phaser, and many other random pedals.
Icon 66 have recently finished thier debut album "Dreams Aren't Made For Liars" including all of Icon 66's tracks.
The bands myspace gives peaple an insite into the bands life by showing videos recorded in the bands free time and in the studio.
Anyone who would like to preview the bands new album can check out the bands most recently recorded tracks and let the band know what the people think of thier music.
